You can use either route up The Tongue from Grasmere. Most people take the right had route as it is supposed to be a little easier. Paused video at 6:30 just in case that group was ours - then remembered it was p*ssing it down from b4 Grisedale Tarn to the bottom of the next valley - so no, I think you're still behind us.

Wounderful , beautiful scenery - how’s it compare to South Island NZ ?

I'm so sorry for the slow response! But i'd say each is beautiful in its own way, I feel like the scenery in the South Island is definitely more varied and dramatic, however, even though the mountains here aren't as high, they're still pretty rugged with beautiful views and villages, but with alot more countryside, and wet weather😅
