Your current marketing might have missed out a big piece in the market.

I’m low key loving how the price increase in drugstore makeup might continue to balance out future brands featured in Sephora, or maybe even current brands. A lot of drugstore brands have improved so much, so the price increase is justified. I think one good thing about today’s super saturated makeup market, is that it’s taught us good quality/formulas don’t necessarily equate, big bucks. Some brands like Elf, Essence, Colourpop (dismantled ABH and Morphe palettes IMO) have shown it’s possible to provide great products at a lower price point.

i feel like LYS really succeeded in doing what it set out to do. The moment that stood out for me was Jess saying that she didn't have anything bad to say about the powder bronzer - that it was just like any other bronzer shes used. except this product has 'clean' ingredients, at an excellent price, and available in multiple shades.

i am DYINGGG to try this brand. i love everything that they stand for. i’m so happy for them being sold in sephora. “Love YourSelf” is something that i try to remind myself as much as possible. The products look amazing, they’re clean, and the prices are actually beyond reasonable. i hope to be able to purchase some of these products someday, when i’m officially off my “no buy” due to trying to save up the money i need to finally get my prosthetic and be able to walk again. unfortunately, my gofundme campaign isn’t going so well so i have no clue when i’ll be able to walk again. i haven’t walked in 2 years and it’s all i want in this world.

If you want to incorporate niacinamide into your routine the Cerave pm moisturizing lotion has it listed as the 4th ingredient 😊 It's quite a light texture and since you're normal/dry it might not be quite hydrating enough for you but you use other serums/hydrators so they could handle that part! Otherwise I love the Paula's Choice niacinamide booster (the 10% one..I haven't tried the clinical strength one and don't plan to lol), it's watery and soaks right into my skin and doesn't break me out or interfere with the wear of my makeup 😀

LYS stands for "Love Your Skin"(according to their website and though 1 influencer said Love YourSelf) which is nice. When we can see our skin through, then just spot cover, we cover more. Because when people can see our skin, they don't think "covered" so don't notice the few things spot concealed, while when we cover with heavy coverage, they see mask and notice the lumps and bumps of issues covered, which product shows by texture and usually cling to.

Wow! The packaging is everything, especially the foundations (right down to the color of the pump abs cap)! If you would've told me it was double the price, i would've believed you, without a doubt! The ingredients sound AMAZING as well, especially for my oily skin. The only thing I'm not on board for is the cream blush, just based off of personal preference, due to my oily skin. I can't wait to try lys (especially the powder) and I'm happy to see more brands like this at sephora!

I don’t know how a brand like say, Urdan Decay has the nerve, the GALL to still charge $25 for a single eyeshadow, let alone $40-55+ for their Naked palettes when today’s market has shown us, there are such better options for a fraction of that price. THANK YOU for mentioning products NEED to work with SPF. I feel the same. Years ago, I committed to sunscreen for skin health. Not every foundation or primer works without looking heavy. Many YT aren't trying products over their SPF. For me that's not reality.
