this is exactly how I got diluc's skin.. I started playing at oct 2021 and decided to buy welkins monthly starting at dec 2021, it's my bestest decision ever not to use the 300 genesis crystals I got from purchasing and was able to buy the skin in time.. happiest day of my life as a dolphin player haha.. even after I got my main's (diluc) skin I'll still continue to save up the genesis crystals in case venti gets a skin too♡♡

a little correction yes you can extend UP TO 180 Days. technically because after that you wont be able to stack it if your remaining is 180 or more days. so if ur at day 179 you can add 30 days more. so the highest you can go is 209 days

Instead of getting welkin 6 times then topping up, theres a way to get 7 stacks of welkin within 2 days. Simply stack 6 welkins, wait the next day, the days remaining will drop down to 179, then you can buy the 7th welkin. This way you can get 2100 crystals plus however ma y primos the 7 welkins will give. Altho, you are very much obligated to log in every day for 7 months

I already had Welkin going and wiped out my genesis crystals on Klee and Kazoo banner. I was one Welkin away from having enough crystals for the skin after topping up, and barely dropped back below 180 days right before the skin went off discount. Now I have a fancy Diluc, barely any genesis crystals, and more than half a year of Welkin. I hope we don't get another skin for a little while lol 😭

I always recommend Welkin over just buying crystals from the shop. The benefit of just buying the shop crystals is you get the primogems instantly if you convert them right away, so it’s good if you’re not worried about efficiency and how much you spend. Just collect them and pull. But for low spenders Welkin is really a blessing. It’s amazing value with the only catch being you just have to log in to claim it everyday over the course of a month. It’s a slower way of obtaining the gems, but that’s what makes it great for saving. Plus logging in to collect it is the easiest thing you can do. Literally just open Genshin and there you go. Combine that with your daily commissions and you’re ten primos away from a wish every day. It’s fantastic value.

I started doing this when skins got introduced into the game. I knew right then, that's it just a matter of time before they release a cool 5* skin with skill effect modifiers and I was right. The moment Diluc's skin got released, I bought it from the shop like it was a reward or something. I didn't have to swipe my credit card in order to get it. I'm still sitting with 2520 genesis crystals after claiming the skin. I'm basically ready for another 5* skin. Only if I like the aesthetic design though and if it's for a tall character. There’s actually an even cheaper way (well, not exactly cheaper, but you get a better bang for your buck) to get enough crystals for the Diluc skin! You can get it for even cheaper if you buy Welkin to the max 180 day (6 times) and then wait one day. That way you’ll have 210 days of Welkin (18,900 primogems total) AND have 2,100 Genesis crystals for the price of $35!
