If you really want some metal spice, try Melmetal + Greninja (don't run water energy). Can one shot everything in the Pika deck and Mewtwo with Gio, and only takes 2-3 turns to setup if you get what you need. Not meta relevant, but something fun.

@shift658 I'm aware. I've been playing the deck. Lol. You still need to pull Froakie, Frogadier, Greninja, Meltan, and Melmetal, and then you have to risk losing your Meltan if you use Amass. Everything can be done in 2 turns, but that assumes that you get everything you need and that your opponent doesn't take out your Meltan before you evolve it. So there's quite a bit that has to go your way. One hitting a Mewtwo feels great when it happens though.

I've been running this without the Farfetchd. It is really aggressive and gets fast wins. I've even won against Moltres/ Charizard a couple times.

You could do this same deck except swap out Bisharp for Golduck and Water energy, or Sandslash and Fighting energy, but my favorite is Jolteon and Lightning energy if you're a gambler, Jolteon can hit for up to 160 if you hit 4 heads, can wipe out EX cards for 2 energy. If you need the guaranteed 70 you can swap in Pidgeot, but if you're looking for a hail mary to knock out something with higher HP Jolteon can come through.

not a bad idea, but I would consider swapping to golduck/starmie ex, water energy, and replacing farfetchd with misty as a potential back up, weak to pika, but at the same time could also serve a random niche

oh yeah pawniard is actually the good one here since 30 for one energy is awesome and it evolves to a 2 energy 70 damage stage one I think for my setup id replace the farfetch'd with one sabrina and one red card just for early board control

Played this deck 10 times, it feels so bad. Sandslash+marowak+ pigeot (my main deck) kinda does the same with sligjtly less damage but more hp. feels more versatile and also has better imunities vs pika and fire decks

Just build a fearow/Persian/pigeot deck. A normal flip coin deck that can put more pressure than an incomplete metal deck like this one.

Only benefit I see here is that turn two Pawniard into Bisharp does 100 damage off rip 120 if you happen to have two Geo which is actually good for aggro it's why Blaine Aggro is good. But Steel don't hit shit for weakness meanwhile Sandlash has more HP + better Pika match up and Golduck gets to pair with broken ass Starmie + Misty luck past the first turns. Still this looks fun regardless Bisharp is a cooler pokemon than the other two 😂

Try centiskorch moltres pidgeot line (with 2 x speed, 2 research, 1 sabrina, 1 giovanni) trust me been clapping pikachu exs with it. Centiskorch 1 shots pikachu and cant be 1 shot by anything in their deck except raichu (which is being cut for the aggro build) or zapdos super high roll.

Melmetal + Butterfree carried me through my 45 wins for the event. Think I went on a 5 or 6 win streak due to concedes. If you go metal, go Melmetal; the rest of the steel types are just worse versions of other pokemon as others have stated.
