Two movie call-backs at the beginning, both of which are nice: 1) "What grieves me most is that you murdered my pets!" (said by Thulsa Doom, big bad of _Conan The Barbarian,_ played by the late great James Earl Jones) 2) Conan's kameo fighter is Sonya, whose outfit is red. (Red Sonja, a character from the same world as Conan, who also had a movie in the '80s in which Brigitte Nielsen played her)

Yes the fatality is a reference to a scene in the forest movie where the villain is having a... party... and people are being served food form a cauldron that contains human body parts. 2. The moment you mention with Liu Kang is his resurrection, also a reference to the movie where he must fight off evil spirits to return to life. And we definitely think you should go back and see the movie, by Crom 💪

Almost. Akiro is the wizard who performs the ritual on Conan after he was left for dead. The witch appeared earlier in the film and had nothing to do with that scene.

Spoilers from the movie: That part when Conan was about to be taken by evil spirits was reference to the first movie. It was when Conan sneaked in back into the Snake cult as a worshiper but was caught and then was crucified to a tree in the desert almost half dead. His friends took him away but his injuries were so bad their wizard friend used something like necromancy to heal him by calling red spirits but they did manage to bring him back. The fatality move is reference to the cults hidden chamber, the worshipers who show complete submission are granted access to this place. They participate in "pleasures of the flesh" by engaging on certain activity and cannibalism, they feast on human body parts thrown into the cauldron in which the cult leader promises them paradise.

Btw the said cult leader Tolsa Doom was played by none other than THE LEGENDARY "James Earl Jones" aka ... Mufasa and i think he also was the original voice for Darth Vader cuz his voice was so distinct there's NO WAY you could not tell it's him. R.I.P

Hi new SUB. here from Canada, at 4:15 i think is like a resurrection , like Jason in MK x , in the movie Conan was crucify then a Wizard bring Him to life and is Girlfriend try to stop a Spirit to take Conan to Haven. and a the beginning they put Sonya Blade in Red is a reference of a movie of Red Sonja (1985) were Arnold Schwarzenegger play in it, i:m big Fan of Conan is Sword play is realy spot on....
