Climb has a crush on hot dad Oakheart
Oakheart is an underrated character.. and there's no videos dedicated to just him/his story, just his relationship to Bluestar. So here ya go
1. Yes, we know that keeping is spelling wrong. It's our only spelling mistake so let it go.
2. Yes, we know that his eyes are described as amber. We wanted Crookedstar & Oakheart to have the same eye color to show their resemblance as brothers.
3. A lot of people keep commenting on the "my mother was a genius" line about Rainflower. Oak DID NOT have the same upbringing as his brother and therefore does not share the same views that Crookedstar or the readers feel about Rainflower. This video is through his eyes, so try and understand that.
4. Please stop saying how you feel sorry for Bluestar etc. This video is NOT about her, and she made what she thought to be the right decision.
5. The reference to Appledusk & Mapleshade, as well as the scene showing the ghosts of Shellheart, Willowbreeze and Rainflower is a reference to our Mapleshade video "HOLLOW"
6. The entire fight sequence at the end is wrong, and we know. The storyboard had already been made and the video in progress when we found out, so it was too late to fix it without making drastic changes.
Redtail is originally seen attacking Stonefur, and Oakheart intervenes and says that "no thunderclan cat shall ever harm him", instead of Redtail intervening to save Tigerclaw
7. Bluestar is shown mourning Redtail at the end because no one in her clan knew of her secret relationship with Oakheart, and there's no way she could let her clan see her mourn an enemy deputy.

Literally, Oakheart and Graypool are the only RiverClan members knew the kits were from ThunderClan and none of RiverClan members know anything about Bluestar or her kits. So, they didn't suspect and assumed they're Graypool's kits.

I love the choice to make Crookedstar the Hamilton of this rather than give that to someone else, purely because the lyrics fit so damned well for him! No other cat that could have been chosen had as much to prove and as little to lose as Crookedstar, and I think that this PMV really benefits from showing the development of the relationship between the two brothers. When I got older I started to realize how much terrible drama happens in the books. I mean deaths, betrayal, heartbreaks, hiding kits, power balances, discrimination, serial killers, revenge ect. I know our own cats have and had a lot of drama, but I'm so glad this was fiction This MAP is also one of my favorite and, although very sad, one of my favorite couples. Oakheart is maybe now my first or second favorite, after seeing this and some other videos and thinking more of him and his life. They should make a special edition book about him, he deserves it. Everyone thinks of him as Crookedstar's brother, or Bluestar's mate, it's true, but they should think more of him. Even though Stonefur and Mistyfoot talk about how Oakheart faked Greypool was his mate, there should be special edition so we can see it through HIS eyes. I think the Erin Hunters should work on it.

I've never realised how much this song relates to Oakheart.. (SPOILERS AHEAD!) (Theodosia writes me a letter Everyday. Keeping her bed warm while her Husband is away. He's on the British side of Georgia, he's trying to keep the colonies in line.) He longed to meet Bluestar every night after that one night when they meet each other and slept together. But Bluestar told him that they can't because they're in different clans. And it turns out, Bluestar was expecting kits. And since Thurshpelt had feelings for her, he had to pose to be the Father of the kits. In that way, Thrushpelt is Bluestars mate. Oakheart knew that he had no chance with Bluestar because they were from different clans. Yet, they met up one night and after that, he waits for her by the Riverbank. (We laugh and we cry and we brake and we make our mistakes.) On that night, they laugh together, watch the stars together, they slept with each other, which ended up with Bluestar expecting his kits. (And if there's a reason I'm by her side when so many have tried.) Oakheart is still willing to wait for her. He even insisted that he join Thunderclan or she join Riverclan for the sake of their kits. (Then I'm willing to wait for it, I'm willing to wait for it.) Again, he waits for Bluestar by the riverbank each day. And now their kids too. (Death doesn't discriminate. Between the sinners and the saints and it takes and it takes and it takes. And we keep living anyway.) Mosskit died during the journey to bring the kits to Riverclan due to the cold. But after Bluestar returned to camp, she had to act as if she lost her kits and have to live on. And yeah, that's it! I really hope they make a book specifically for Oakheart. Please correct me if I'm wrong for the info above.

It's a shame, I would have liked to see more of him, although he is from Riverclan and the main story generally follows Thunderclan cats, so he isn't one of the main ones. :/

I'm so glad I discovered this. This is absolutely beautiful. Like almost breathtaking. The Oakheart/Bluestar relationship was rushed and poorly handled in canon in my opinion, but you made it really enjoyable here. And the final battle, well, that was simply magical. I could really feel the thrill and adrenaline of the warriors as they went to fight, knowing they might not come back alive. All in all this was brilliant. Amazing job.
