if anyones revisiting this channel like i am and ur wondering what happened, this channel was abandoned. hoxau was hospitalized in 2018 and struggling with their mental health because of overworking themselves and lots of other components. art became a trigger for them. they are doing okay now but prefer not to come back to this community because warriors was bad memories for them. hoxau and climb also disagreed on a lot of things regarding their YT partnership. climb reached out to end the friendship/partnership. so basically climb & hoxau are no longer friends , hoxau left the community, and this channel is officially ended. RIP

I’ve seen a lot of people saying that Mapleshade isn’t a sympathetic villain, but she really is. They’re just focusing more on sympathetic than villain, when it really should be the other way around. She was wronged (by Appledusk for cheating on her, by Oakstar for banishing her still nursing litter, and by Darkstar for not giving Appledusk his share of punishment for what he did), which led her kill and makes her sympathetic, but she wasn’t forced to kill, she chose to, and that’s why she’s a villain. The actions of others drove her to want to do terrible things, but nobody actually *made* her do anything. She went mad with grief, which is incredibly tragic, and chose to inflict her pain on others, which is godawful. She is very much a sympathetic villain, just with emphasis on villain.

@Shizen TheW33b I think that Ashfur and Mapleshade are actually very different. Ashfur wasn’t banished from his Clan, or cheated on, or anything that happened to Mapleshade. Squirrelflight simply chose someone else over him and he couldn’t handle it. (Just as a note, I think that both of them are bad people, not just Ashfur, and I don’t think either of them were justified. I just mean to say that Ashfur isn’t a tragic villain, he’s a jealous ex that went nuts. The same could be argued for Mapleshade, but she did actually lose her entire life before going nuts rather than simply being rejected)

Idk if it's accurate since I didn't read the books yet, but it said "From StarClan, there is a barrier of sorts consisting of a great cloud of mist, that eventually leads to the Dark Forest." And "Starclan cats can go to the Dark Forest if they need to", meaning that it may be true vice versa, and Mapleshade can visit her kits, either on the border of where the dark forest ends, or by heading straight to Starclan. I also heard it a couple of times from other people

god I love that running animation. Many times, walking/running animations don't feel grounded, they feel like the character is gliding while moving their legs and it's always bothered me. But in that animation, u see the weight that character's pushing as they jump forward in their strides. I give u 7 chef's kisses out of 5
