This Band is really something Special, Ive never had a group that has made me obsessed with their music like this one and Im very apathetic to alot of new bands, no way in hell do I feel that way with Sleep Token, Worship!

That's how I felt about Sleep Token a few years back, but then Banks Arcade came out with the album "Future Lovers" and it floored me. Their song "Be Someone" uses the samples found in Sleep Token's "Jaws/High Waters" since it was from the same producer. Their newer stuff (The two EP's) are next level. Heavier than Sleep Token would ever be, but also very very beautiful ❤️

@@martinknox1860 you got 2 things wrong here. Vessel has never been able to scream until recently, and that growl in the video is 100% him. It's his voice. Everything you've heard up until recently has been IV doing proper fry screaming with Vessel doing a whisper scream on top. That's not to discredit him, because the combo sounds cool as hell, but he never actually knew how to scream. Until the recent months, it seems. And he's still got a long way to go until he can SCREAM scream. This currently sounds like early false cord screaming progress.

Vessels a once in a generation vocalist. There is so much detail in his delivery. Next time you listen, try to notice how he keeps his singing on time right down to the syllable. Makes it hard to sing along EXACTLY as he does. Slow is hard!

....well that was anticlimactic. Good song, but I'm still waiting for the scream. I was just watching a Lorna Shore live performance right before this, so that doesn't help. I guess Sleep Token exists at the intersection of a lot of different genres, so there will be lots of non-metal fans of theirs being really impressed by relatively pedestrian harsh vocal techniques. And that's ok; you never know until you know, y'know?

I saw two shows of theirs in AUS before "the summoning thots" and i can tell you theyre amazing live but i saw snippets of this show and im glad i didnt waste my money. Sorry not sorry but what this band has become is not the band i fell in love with.
