don’t you think there’s a giant audience of people who didn’t see it because they don’t watch anime or cartoons in general? and even if the live action adaptation isn’t as good as the original it could be good enough that it will inspire them to check out the original? sometimes adaptions exsist not because the original needs to be redone but as an advertisement to watch the original in the first place!

Speaking on "One Punch Man" Did you know the production of "Borderlands" got so bad that Craig Mazin (from "Chernobyl" and "The Last of Us") asked for his name to be removed from the credits and replaced by the name "Joe Crombie" And both adaptations have this Avi Arad

Hollywood approaches anime in a very simplified manner. "Lets make this fun", "how do we make this popular?" This approach leads them to backtrack on many of anime's adult themes. Many which are the whole point of the anime itself

Those anime movies of the earlier arc(s) were pretty amazing, imo. Granted, I never read the manga, so maybe I'm wrong and it's a bad adaptation. Although, I think my friend, who does read the manga, confirmed that those moves were really good, I beleive.

Personally, I think Red River by Chie Shinohara would make a great epic historical fantasy series. It's like Game of Thrones in the ancient Near East with strong shojo romance. Also, what's a good place to start with the Gundam franchise? Because I was thinking of checking out Witch of Mercury, but I don't know if you need to know a ton of lore to get into that series.

They should really consider making live action shows of anime that are part of metaseries. Then they could be really different and in the end you could shrug it off as being just another version of the show. Like, I’d watch a live action Digimon show. And if it’s bad, I’ll just be like “I wonder if the next version will be better.”

death note can perfectly work as a live action series, it doesn't have too many iver the top moments or animated action that only works if animated, so I have some faith in the project

the thing is, anime like one punch man and my hero rely to much on animation for not only its action but also with its vibes and without that you just got a blend story deviode of what made it cool in the first place. lets be real here a good 90% of the one punch man fan base only got into the show thanks to the animation.

I hope that they don't diversify the casting of some of these adaptations, the ones that are specifically set in Japan or an Asian setting (Naruto) should only have an all Asian cast. The only 2 on this list I don't care about specific casting would be Gundam and Helsing, the ones not specifically set in Asia.

Okay, seems like Hollywood still wants to get a decent live-action movie based on Anime/Manga out there. While there have been good ones like "Guyver: Dark Hero" and "Crying Freeman", haven't seen "Edge of Tomorrow" nor "Alita Battle Angel" yet, a majority of them have been utter crap. Its really hard to tell if any of these will be any good since there were no real screenshots (except for the "Yu Yu Hakusho " one). But, I'll keep an open mind whenever any of these projects ever get updates.

Pokémon as a live action series honestly needs a LOT more work than what Detective Pikachu gave us so as they don’t look and feel so CG and some like some art museum mold or something. They need to go DEEP and REALISTIC as possible on detail, give them the Generations treatment where they make realistic/natural sounds rather than speaking their name for all communication. I like what they did with Pikachu being furry, a step in the right direction, but again still just has a slightly off feeling CG aesthetic in there as if puppetry were partially thrown in the mix.
