That grandma reminded me of a lady from our church who suffered from dementia. We were all at an ugly Christmas sweater party, and this sweet lady started feeling too warm. She started to unbutton her sweater when her daughter stopped her to remind her she wasn't wearing anything underneath. My husband, in an effort to ease the old woman's embarrassment, leaned over to her and said, "I'm pretty sure it's not that kind of party." It worked. It happens to elder people. They may not realise where they are, what they wear, who is near them etc. It’s on us to protect them as much as we can from embarrassment and harm. I would suggest that grandma wore underwear t-shirt or camisole underneath her sweater, just in case she feels too warm. If she doesn’t want to, well… if she was my relative and I knew this may happen, I’d bring some nice top to help her change when she feels uncomfortably hot in sweater. … with my grandma the opposite is more likely, she tends to feel a bit cold and I always make sure that I have one more wool scarf for her when we go out. The other scarf for myself, because I’m the same as my beloved granny and freeze easily 😂

You can add olive oil to any soap. Hand soap size is 2tblspn and shower gel size (roughly one pint) is about 6. I add it to most of my soaps. And that is how you make foaming hand wash. If you have a dispenser but don’t have the refill liquid, you can make your own. Usually it’s 2tblspn any liquid soap, 2tblspn olive oil, and fill with water. Shake vigorously, and use.

But yeah, some dog owners totally have to put diapers on their dogs bc they’ll bleed if they aren’t fixed.

That’s so sweet. Good job. That’s a good farmer. We have neighbors who do that with their goats. Every once in a while you’ll see a baby goat (kid) come running out of their house bounding around with the dogs. And they do such a good job keeping the baby from the road and the other neighbors corn. Such good farmers. Such good “farm hands”. Lol

@@erikarussell1142 the dogs make for great surrogate playmates. one of our dogs weighs 65kg/130lbs so the size difference is hilarious 😂

One of my neighbor's bottle- fed goats ended up acting like a dog. She loved people and would come running to headbutt your hand until you pet her. She was such a sweet girl.

@@phaedrapage4217 oh I love that! My friend has a goat when I was a teenager, she named her teeny. Tenny was a jerk and would always head but you right in the bum any time you’d bend over in front of her. Lol but I liked teeny. She was good to me. We would drink together (my friend and I) and her goat and I would cuddle. I also shared my snacks with her.

My father told me this story: He and a few buddies were drinking in a bar, which was so far away from civilisation, that it had no toilet rooms, and not even an outhouse, instead, every client used the backyard whenever nature called. One of father's buddies got so wasted that he had to go to that backyard, to vomit. When he came back, he was shocked and told the others that while vomiting he had spat out his dental prosthetis, too. And that before he could grab it, the big German Shepherd of the landlady came by, took it and ran away with it. The poor guy's buddies - my father, too - roared with drunken laughter and accompanied the bereft man to the landlady to ask her to help hím get back his dental prosthetis. The landlady was very nice and understanding, she called her dog and when he came, she took away the dental prosthetis from him - fortunately he was still carrying the item in his giant fangs then. The man thanked her profoundly, and then, drunk as was, he simply put the dental prosthetis in his mouth. The dental prosthetis, which was taken from the mouth of a dog, and which the dog had taken out of the vomit on the ground of the backyard, regularly used as an open air outhouse...

By the way, olive oil is FANTASTIC for your skin. It's what the Romans used to use to clean their bodies. Slather it on, then scrape it off. So an olive shower gel would be amazing.

Korres is a very slept on skincare brand. It’s FANTASTIC. It’s been around for a minimum 15 years. It used to be in Sephora but you can get it in Shoppers, I recommend the Wild Rose moisturizer.

Dog’s heat cycles may last about 3 wks, but most breeds only get them twice a year, some only once a year. So they have the better end of it when compared to humans, even if the cycle is longer when it happens. Plus, a lot of dogs don’t bleed much or clean themselves well enough they don’t need hot pants (diapers)…….making it important to track when they are in heat less you end up with a pregnant dog. Typically it’s a week of bleeding, week of standing heat (when they can get pregnant), then a week of bleeding.
