Yes he was. However the odd thing was that the Bullock character had almost zero personality, just pure intensity, total opposite of the actor playing him. Justified fits his personality better. I say that as someone who loved both shows. I think they just had to make Bullock boring to leave plenty of room for Al.

@@Ravehalfing241 We'll never see Season 4. Netflix cancelled the show because it "cost too much" to make, but I think part of that was paying Drew's and Tim's salaries, especially since Drew was also an executive producer.

I absolutely love the original Justified series. Saw the City Primevil and it was amazing too. But I noticed it seemed to have a different vibe and feel than the original series. But somehow still just as amazing. Glad this is one show and character that was brought back.

I miss Boyd. Their word play in the original series was hilarious. It always cracked me up when Boyd always addressed him as "Deputy US Marshall, Raylan Givens" whenever he and Boyd were in each other's presence... Like he was the Butler announcing who just entered the room

I was skeptical the new series could live up to the original series. But after seeing the pilot I was very impressed. It has a different vibe and feel but the quality seems equally as good so far. Though I do miss the kind of dialogue from the original.

Its a shame that he is best known for his role in Starwars, Deadwood, and Justified, where played the same character more or less. Its like he could have been a good Broadway actor between gigs but i think he valued time with his children, so perhaps he did it the best way, his way. Btw he played the original "agent 37"(i think) movie wise and he was quite good. I was sad to see the new ones didnt use him and skipped them.
