This is the best news update I've heard so far for Scream 7. Dont know about anyone else but I'm really happy to see Kevin Williamson the original Scream movie writer get to direct this new installment and see his vision being brought to the big screen. I completely understand what he means by making the Ghostfaces a lot more darker and that gets people talking for a long time after, because that's exactly what him and Wes Craven did in the original Scream movie. We as fans of the franchise need to see real suspense and big jump scares, making everything mysterious and unknown is the formula that worked for original Scream and will definitely do the same for Scream 7.

What I didn't like about 5 and 6 was that it kind of lost the connection to reality regarding the kills. I mean Tara survived multiple stabs, chad survived being butchered from 2 Ghostfaces at once, Mindy survived being stabbed multiple times.. Scream 4 f. Instance had so many kills and even Sidney ended up in hospital seriously injured after being stabbed one time in the stomach ( which feels more real)... I hope they are going back to this and make it "more realistic"

Like I wanna see Ghostface be faced with his or her own self’s mentally instability and breaking down and just pure rage and going ham on the murders. I can’t wait to see how many body counts we get. Maybe this will be the first franchise where we get the most kills Scream V and Scream VI did a good job but I wanna see someone ripped open and longer chase scenes please especially one in the woods or something like that.

The first movie would play out like a Scream film in the sense that a group of people are introduced and get killed off one by one only this time Ghostface wins. Everyone dies and the killers identity remains a mystery. Last scene would be Kirby showing up to take the case. The next two movies would be from both the killers perspective as well as Kirbys. We'd get an opening kill scene in part 2 that would introduce us to the killers, we'd learn their motives and see them hunt, stalk and kill while covering their tracks. We'd also see Kirby and whoever she's teamed up with getting closer to learning who the killers are. Last film would have both stories collide and a face off would happen but in the end one killer escapes.

I have always loved Scream movies, especially the series. But what I hate about every movie is that they ruin the killer at the end. After he/she takes off the mask, suddenly the killer is a stupid moron. I want a scream movie where the killer is smart, smarter than everybody. And most importantly, for once, I want the killer to win and kill the main character/characters. I mean in the last movie all of them survived, even the guy at the end with at least 20 stab wounds... come on...

If this is tue, I'am liking the direction of the new movie, these movies should be brutal, Ghostface have to make people suffer in a realistic way. I hope we have sadistic deaths, or if the person don't die, he or she is permanently injured, like the person will have to spent the rest of her life on a wheelchair or is facially disfigured( one thing that really scared me about a monster book that I read was how a guy survived the attack but his face was permanently disfigured). @@atimetraveler4910 Don't get me wrong, Billy and Jill are my favorite Ghostfaces but while Billy managed to manipulate Sidney emotionally, Mickey messed up with her mind. I never saw Sidney DOUBT HERSELF (boyfriend, killer, boyfriend, killer?) and Mickey nailed it. On the other hand, all Ghostfaces are flawed, they all fall by their own failures. Roman has credits for being a solo killer but he never affected Sidney mentally, beyond the initial shock of knowing she had a half-brother.

Which scenes in particular? I could see the strength coming from Wayne. I couldn't see that with Quin during her attack with Gail. Ik it's a movie, but irl, it's not believable. Unless she does lots of weight training or something. But that's my opinion. I think every Ghostface is brutal in their own way when you think about it. Especially with Steve's kill in the original and Marnie's murder in Scream 4. If Ghostface is to be as brutal as Jigsaw's "games" in the Saw movies, that would bring him up on the brutality latter for me. Just an idea.

Exactly! I think it's a marketing hype thing for general audiences but the focus on creating the most icky bloody deaths are putting effort where it's not necessary. There needs to be tension, stakes, good characters, for it to matter and the recent movies haven't been the best with that stuff.

What I think of when I hear "darkest Ghostface" is that this killer is going to go after Sidney's family. And if we're going to be thinking about it for weeks, I wonder if that means this Ghostface will be off-ing Sid's husband, and having fun with it while he's doing it.

Ugh i am so excited if this is true!!! I dunno who’s in charge of casting, but I’m just confused why kevin wouldn’t ride hard for getting Kriby back. If anyone knows more about what the fans want, it’s him! And it just makes sense for her to come back since she’s a detective specializing in ghostface attacks. Even if she’s the opening kill, I just want her back, along with Gale and Mark. If theyre going back to their roots, they always brought back 4 survivors in the original trilogy, killing one of them off - Randy & Cotton.

I feel ok with whatever they decide to do with Scream 7 with Kevin Williamson back in the franchise. I can't wait to see this movie I'm a huge Ghostface/Scream fan and having Kevin Williamson in control I'm not worried cause it's back in the hands of it's creator.
