First guy shoulda called the cops on the woman for stealing the ring. Quick payback.

I learned from Judge Judy that no, the woman is not entitled to a ring from a proposal. If you break up, you give the ring back unless it’s an heirloom from the woman’s family

Good luck getting the law to actually enforce that in a matriarchal society that doesn't hold women accountable for their crimes. His only chance is demanding they press charges or, if that fails, suing her directly.

Whenever I read something about a underaged someone going on a date I have to remind myself that the legal drinking age in the US is 21 and that they don’t mean a 13 year old. The legal drinking age in my country is 16 and 14 with adult supervision.

Anyone feel like that first woman was scamming the dude all along? Given how coldly she acted, I wouldn’t be surprised if she has a long history of that kind of crap

When I was working the drive thru at a fast food place during the lunch rush, I saw a car come screaming out of nowhere to block the next car in line very close to the speaker box. I was so curious about what was happening that I couldn’t stop myself from leaving the sound on (I didn’t have headphones because this was the mid-80’s). So everyone at the counter could also hear everything that was happening. The woman who had blocked the drive thru car had gotten out of her car and had approached the woman in line whose window was rolled down, but it really wouldn’t have mattered because she was truly unhinged & screaming like a freaking banshee. Once she had gotten out of her car, she had begun a screaming, wailing tirade against the literal Other Woman demanding that she stay away from her husband and calling her all sorts of unpleasant and un-ladylike names which could be heard throughout the entire restaurant, not just the front counter. I had absolutely no interest in turning off the speaker because it was absolutely the most interesting thing I had ever seen or heard until that moment at work. My manager had to come over to me and make me turn the speaker off before I would do it, and I actually protested when she told me to do it. But I think she understood because I didn’t get in trouble for it. 😹😹😹

Story 1 is 100% theft. A proposal is an offer: "I will give you this ring if you agree to marry me". She didn't take the offer, so there's nothing about the situation making this different from walking up to someone, plucking an item out of their hand, and walking away.

I've heard of a scam that women can use. The idea is that the man goes to pay for an engagement ring 💍 she will pick it out. He wants to spend 10 thousand, and she will beg, plead, and promise spicy time to get a 12 thousand ring. Anyway, a few days later, the woman calls up the jewellery shop, asking them to replace the diamond with a cubic zirconia. Then she will break up with the guy and then go get the Dimond. Then the guy goes to try to get some money back, but now the ring is a lot cheaper. Luckily, the jewellery shop owner realised the dude was the one buying ring, so the shop called him to confirm. The dude had no idea.

Engagement rings are not the property of the woman unless she actually marries the person who asked her. The only exception is in the case where the ring belongs to her family. The woman effectively stole the ring from her boyfriend and shouldn’t have taken it from him because she said no.
@tarrantwolf
@tarrantwolf Жыл бұрын
Yeah but a lot of women feel entitled to it anyway and in a matriarchal society he's gotta jump through hoops just to get his property back. Even just trying to get the cops to file charges of theft won't necessarily work because they claim its a civil matter so you have to waste time and money suing her just to get your property back on top of the rejection.

If you're already engaged, I think it entirely depends on why the relationship is over. If it's some sort of heirloom, then always give it back. If he cheated then keep it, if you just aren't feeling each other anymore then dicuss it. However, you can't say no and and still keep the ring
@tarrantwolf
@tarrantwolf Жыл бұрын
BS. He paid, it's his unless you legally marry him. Even if he cheated, he paid for it, it's his unless you legally marry him. Only time she gets to keep it is if he says she can or it's an heirloom from her family. Otherwise it's legally his and he can charge her with theft if she doesn't give him back his property.
@bambino05
@bambino05 Жыл бұрын
@tarrantwolf it's a gift. You can't take back gifts. The gifter has no legal ownership over the gift. Personally, I'd probably always give it back if I was ever in that situation, but legally speaking (regardless of it being a heirloom), it is the property of whoever was proposed to. Morally, you should never keep a heirloom but legally you have every right to
@tarrantwolf
@tarrantwolf Жыл бұрын
@@bambino05 it's only a gift if they get married. Even if you want to make the argument it's a gift then she'd, at the very least, have to say yes, then you could at least try to make the "it's a gift even though I didn't marry him" argument.

Another lesson to be learned from story 6 is if find out that your Girlfriend/boyfriend cheats on you get even by doing the same thing back to them and have the person you cheated on them with show up with the person they cheated on the person and tell he/she that their had been cheating on their partner with their girlfriend/boyfriend as revenge and pay them to do it for you.
@tarrantwolf
@tarrantwolf Жыл бұрын
Except they've already been unfaithful so they aren't going to care nearly as much if you cheat too, if they care at all. That's barely revenge. Better to do something like running up a whole lotta debt in their name then walking.
