How did you stay sane with all those beasties flying around you. As usual great photography, loved how the scree on the side of the mountain turned red like hot lava in the sunset shot.

Stunning Landscapes 👍 no thanks to the Flies, very annoying! What Bag inserts do you have for the Atracks and who sells them please. Keep well & Stay safe 👍🇬🇧
@GudmannAndGydaАй бұрын
We are using inserts from F-stop gear. The size for the 45 liter Atrack is PRO XL. fstopgear.com/product/pro-xl-internal-camera-unit-icu/ The official website sells the inserts, but we got ours in Iceland - the website is photostop.is

You guys have some great backpacks for your gear. I see they are Ortlieb, but what type and size are they?
@GudmannAndGydaАй бұрын
The backpack is called Ortlieb Atrack 45L - and we use it with XL Fstop gear insert. It is waterproof and surprisingly it is not designed for photographers, but it is the best bag we have used for photography.

Fabulous video of you being out and about. Great to see you got some beautiful light. Out of interest what were the other campers there for. Were they photographers or maybe mountain climbers. Is there a track to walk to the top of that mountain or is it off limits. Cheers, Richard
@GudmannAndGydaАй бұрын
The other campers are there for various reasons. Some of them came from Askja - the crater where they hike. Two dirt-bikers were there in a tent, they had spent 10 days driving all over Iceland. Some go on hikes, yes it is possible to hike up the mountain. It is a difficult hike and better done with a guide.

Calling that queen of all mountains, means you aren't traveling enough. Yes it looks nice. But queen? Ahh.
@GudmannAndGydaАй бұрын
Being the queen of all mountains has nothing to do with size. This mountain has a special place in the hearts of us Icelanders. From Wikipedia: "This distinctive mountain has been known by its present name since at least 1300. Due to the mountain's steep and unstable sides, the first definite ascent was in 1908 by Hans Reck and Sigurður Sumarliðason, despite centuries of knowledge of its existence. The mountain is often referred to as "The Queen of Icelandic Mountains" by Icelanders due to its beautiful shape. It was voted in 2002 "Iceland’s favourite mountain".

@@GudmannAndGyda I didn't mention sizes. If it means a lot for you in Iceland, then keep it to Iceland. You clearly said queen of ALL mountains.
