Shannon came up in an era where, for lack of a better term, street dudes had integrity. I feel like if you talk to anyone 30 & up, that grew up in the hood, there was always some dudes that was getting money in the streets that told you to stay in school. Especially if they saw you had a talent that could potentially make you money

Yea. Like this one guy at work. I said wats up to him 3 times and he just gave me a look. Now, that I'm ignoring him he looks my way and in my head I say " why you looking this way? You don't greet me back" I don't have to talk to him which is good. But I do get the feeling he's mean mugging me for some unknown reason. The only awkward part at my job

Facts Waka! I respect both these guys. Shannon’s era had guys who look out for you as opposed to these days. I tell my son who is almost 9, sometimes you have to distance yourself from some people to elevate yourself. Don’t hang around your friends because you want to be cool if even you know what they are doing is wrong. Be mindful of the company you keep.
