I'm not from latino-america, but from Spain, and I must say her Spanish is very very good for someone whose mother-tongue is not Spanish, because she can get by with some phonemes which (I'm told) are hard to learn. I'm in love with her voice also... So, don't listen to the haters! I'm glad there are people who love art and are interested in giving to the world new things to appreciate. Thanks for your work and congratulations ;)

i think the hate is that the song is not originally in spanish ( i dont actually know) and it was 100% unnecessary to sing it in spanish while the original song is so good.

The adaptation to Spanish they did is amazing. They choose the words to fit instead of just translating the song and sounds really really good. The clothes girls are using are not from the region of Mariachi (Jalisco, West coast of Mexico) they are more like from the Huasteca Region (North East-East Coast and a bit of the center) even from the southern of the country... But look really beautiful. The music is perfect. An excellent vídeo

I speak for all of the internet when I say we are glad that you approve of the singing and pointed out the lack of authenticity in the style of clothing. If you hadn't flexed your intimate knowledge of anthropological, cultural, and material studies of Mexico nobody in all of the internet would be able to tolerate watching this video. Now that we are all enlightened, we can watch this video free of ignorance and with deeper, richer appreciation of Mexican culture. Vicente Fernandez and his predecessors thank you for putting a halt on the bastardization of their musical culture, because Mariachi has remained true to it's roots up to this point.

Sr Avila Gandarilla, thank you for your comment. Despite @@derrickrector4696's pedantic whining, it's good that you can point out that the Mexican culture is more than sombreros and tacos. Let me point out that Mr Rector does not "speak for all of the internet", but more likely está escuchando ecos en su propia mente. (I don't speak Spanish. Thank Google for this phrase.)

@Coratlan9 жыл бұрын
From Mexico here, and to be honest her Spanish is EXTREMELY good for a non-native speaker. (Hell she could pass for a native speaker tbh). There are many different dialects of Spanish anyway and some sound "whiter" than others anyway. What may be considered "bad" Spanish in one country could be considered good in another. For example, Spaniards all have a lisp when pronouncing "c" in the middle of words. So instead of "Gracias" they say "Grathias" Is it wrong? By Mexican standards, it's a little weird, but in Spain it's normal and perfect Spanish so ease up on her guys really. There's no such thing as "correct" Spanish anyway.
@gia2579 жыл бұрын
Those are called accents, there's always a "neutral" accent that is accepted (which tends to be used on TV -> news), but being able to speak in your original accent is good enough, you'll identify yourself as someone from the area that uses the accent though. She has the accent of a daughter of immigrants, or someone that moved to the USA very early as a kid, so it's not accepted as a "proper" accent (yet?), because afaik spanish is not an official language of the USA. She does good past the accent though. English also has accents, you get the Texan accent, Irish, Australian, etc.

If you're interested in the lyrics... HERE YOU GO! Estoy sintiendo mi camino a través de la oscuridad Guiado por mi corazón No sé decir dónde el viaje va a terminar Pero sé por dónde empezar Me dicen que soy demasiado joven para entender Que estoy atrapada en el sueño Buena la vida me pasará si no abro los ojos Bueno por mí, está bien Despiértame cuando todo haya terminado Cuando sea mayor y más sabia Todo este tiempo he estado encontrándome a mí misma Y no sabía que me perdí Yo intenté llevar el peso del mundo Pero sólo tengo dos manos Deseo tener la oportunidad de viajar por el mundo Pero yo no tengo planes Deseo poder quedarme así tan joven para siempre No temo cerrar los ojos La vida es un juego hecha para todos Y el amor es el premio Despiértame cuando todo haya terminado Cuando sea mayor y más sabio Todo este tiempo he estado encontrándome a mí misma Y no sabía que me perdí So wake me up when it's all over When I'm wiser and when I'm older All this time I was finding myself And I didn't know I was lost Despiértame cuando todo haya terminado Cuando sea mayor y más sabia Todo este tiempo he estado encontrándome a mí misma Y no sabía que me perdí Y no sabía que me perdí Y no sabía que me perdí
