Hope Shaun doesn’t mind me saying this stuff: 1) Shaun is worth every penny as a teacher. Since we’ve used him I’ve noticed both my boys riding progress through the roof! 2) lessons are only good if you have a person that makes things fun. You cannot possibly have more fun on the water than with Shaun. I mean this nicely, the guy is like a 3 year old on the water! Every moment he is out there he’s having the time of his life and that bleeds over into his lessons. 3) He was amazing at every level of riding. My oldest son is way better than me, but yet he even was able to teach an old fat guy like me things. When we went out I wasn’t even going to ride. We were with 4 guys that all could ride at an insane level, and I was just this little pion dude. But yet he made me feel super comfortable and encouraged me that the result didn’t matter but to…. You guessed it…. Enjoy My Ride! Great guy. Book up now. You’ll never regret it. Hats off to you Shaun. 👍

Shaun, I was all excited about the prospect of cruising down to FL to hang out with you for a day. I got my new Shaun Murray Hyperlite 144 and I LOVE IT! Everything was looking good, but on December 30, I came down with Ramsey-Hunt Syndrome. The doctors didn't recognize it, so it went on for a while before I got treated. I was throwing up, constantly dizzy, and my ear hurt. It damaged the vestibular nerve bundle in my right ear and reached my brain stem. They put me in the hospital for 8 days, because my blood pressure went super low (63/40) and I hadn't kept food down for almost a month. I'm mostly deaf in my right ear, now, which is pretty disorienting, but the really tragic part is that I have constant, severe vertigo. I have to focus just to walk without staggering or falling. Surfing, skateboarding, wakeboarding, skiing, snowboarding are my favorite things to do, and now I can't. The damage is permanent, but they say my brain can learn to compensate. I really hope so. I want to use my new board badly, so it will be my motivation. I thank God that I didn't get the more severe symptoms, like palsy or paralysis on one side. It could have been a lot worse! The lesson for all - Get your shingles shot as soon as you can. It can do very bad things to you if you ever had chicken pox as a kid.

Thanks for sharing but bummed to hear the tough times you've gone through. Praying for recovery and that you're able to get back into the sports you love. Praying you feel a difference now and can get back on those boards sooner than doctors thought possible!

@@Shaun.Murray Thanks, Shaun, I really appreciate that. I'm going to work hard, and see if I can get some balance by summer. I'm riding that board no matter how often I fall! Right now, I use my eyes to balance, and I can't look down when walking. Looking down when wakeboarding is bad anyway, right?
