Can you wakeboard behind a jet boat? The simple answer is yes, you can wakeboard with a jet ski easily! Moreover, beyond wakeboards, most jet skis can effortlessly tow a waterski, wakeskate, or even a tube! Of course, factors such as the jet ski in use or the weight of the rider matter. What Should Be in a Jet Boat to Facilitate Wakeboarding? Because they are light, jet boats are not able to generate enough wake for a fun glide across the surface of water. However, most jet boat manufacturers today create boats that have a ballast system. This is a system that brings water into the boat and holds it temporarily. The water adds weight to the boat pushing it deeper into the water. When the boat is deeper in the water, it displaces more water, creating bigger waves good for waterpsorts.

Thanks for watching and the comment! Every boat and how it is set up can provide a different feel - if you just want to go ride around and jump the wake, a jet boat is fine. However, if you want to get more serious with your wakeboarding, there is no comparison, the inboard will track better and provide a higher quality wake.
