Classic game from that side, great attacking threat but the defence was slightly suspect. Some cracking tries in this game. John McAtee he only played a handful of games for Saints I think his son plays for Manchester City

The season previous the defence had been strong under Mike McClennan but the loss of Ward, McCracken, Connolly and later Ropati was seismic and things went downhill leading to the sacking of MM and later, Eric Hughes. It took until Shaun McCrea came to tighten back up.
