I agree Tom. I have watched every video i can find from wake9. Awesome detail on this one. I drive a centurion vi24 and have applied many principles from previous videos he posted. Great work.

@chrisb. I too have a vi24 that I just purchased used. What stock settings are you using before adding lead ballast? I am having a hard time getting the stick wave dialed in.

probably the best instructional video on wave set up I have seen. I use most principles on my old 08 SAN with my home made wake surf shaper and it puts out a wave that people are envious about.

Love your videos and purchased a 2022 Moomba Makai base on your review and some research. I am 250 lbs dry and we normally surf with just under 400 lbs of wife and kid weight in the boat. I have been trying to get the wave dialed in so I can surf without the rope. When I get out we loose a third of the weight in the boat and I can’t surf due to lack of push. I know how to surf and can do it on my friends boat. Base on this video I purchase 1000lbs of “lead” I plan to lay it out per this video. One question does this cause an issue with getting the boat on and off the trailer? I know you said to be careful towing but we normally just go 2000 feet to the ramp from where I store my boat. Just wondering about getting on and off the trailer. Do you adjust it every time or just set it and leave for next time. Thanks for all your videos and for throwing it down for the big guys. I am surfing a 5’4 broadcast by the way. I also have a 5’4” jet pilot perch set up quad fin. I have not gotten a chance to use yet. If this don’t work I am going with my 6’8 fish beach board. It has a lot more volume. Any thought on a actual surf board behind the boat. I have a few and am thinking to try them.

After adjusting the boat with lead and having 100% Ballast do you put auto wake back on.
@wake9tv2 жыл бұрын
yes, I do. If I use a bit extra lead, then my wave is still outstanding when AW has to make adjustments.

What is the app you were using for pitch and roll? I have a 2016 Craz that does not have all that fancy computerized stuff :) Great video. Can't wait to try it out!

Have you surfed behind a river and do you have thoughts on up river vs down river. I am on the cumberland river in nashville. The current can be pretty strong at times.
@wake9tv Жыл бұрын
Yes, many times, and this applies to lakes as well, but not as much. Usually, on a lake, for instance, one direction (with the flow of the underlying river) vs the other will give you MORE push. Usually "down river". Try both directions, and go the direction you like most, even on a lake, it makes a difference. With the river, speed by GPS doesn't work so you need to go more by RPM for speed.

Brian that boat will throw a killer wave, watch these videos and get your pitch and roll set and you will love it. Should be easy.... I'm on my 3rd SL

@@homerholt3 so far I am not impressed, my 08 had a better wave. We have been trying everything we can think of and every setting speed you name it. The wave is short and soft so far, we will try what this video suggests , we have 750 in lead
@wake9tv3 жыл бұрын
750 in lead is more than enough. try 10ish pitch, 3-4 deg roll on goofy, -1ish on regular, speed 11.4. email me at support - at - wake9 - dot - com.

Love your videos. Super helpful and practical. For the Moomba settings what year and models did you test with?
@wake9tv3 жыл бұрын
2020 and 21. Should be mostly the same with Flow 2, just you will need more roll especially on goofy. Flow 3 adds some yaw.
@tlcseven13 жыл бұрын
Is pitch and roll measured while moving or at rest?
@wake9tv3 жыл бұрын
The settings I give are based on "while at wakesurf speed".

If you like that boat best, and can afford it you should get one. I don't agree.
