Another beauty. Especially the top-down pics of the herring drying racks.

Love the fish drying racks Nick. Strange to say that out loud ha ha but they look nicely abstracted from the air the way you framed them. The black and white images are very effective especially with that inky dark sea. Sounds like you found some new things in an otherwise familiar setting!

Thanks, Malcolm. I do like trying to turn a mundane object into an abstract image. And yes, I think I did manage to get some fresh images. But can I do this again on Day 2 in Wakkanai? You'll have to watch the next video to find out! Cheers!

Wonderful imagery! I love the pastel colors that are often seen on Japanese buildings. The snow-covered tetrapods near the lighthouse could make some really interesting photos. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks, Darren. Yes, agreed on the pastels and the tetrapods. Pastel buildings really pop against the snowy background, and I've lost count of how many tetrapod photos I've taken!

I had my heart in my mouth when the drone was in trouble. Well worth the chance though with great stills results. You bagged some beautiful minimalist shots from the drone as well as on the ground. One thing I was quite taken with is the deep indigo blue of the water. All in all, an excellent shoot. Ted Hamilton

Many thanks, Ted. Ha ha! Yes I did have a feeling of deja vu trying to bring that drone back. You know what happened last time...
