The grip up is the first fight. You gotta fight for a dominant grip sometimes. The ref tries to make it as fair as possible but that's often very hard considering people's hands and arms are different sizes and lengths. I've seen refs put Devon in dominant positions many times giving him the advantage. They're both great pullers. I love to watch them pull each other.

Devon did this event to help Travis' show on AMC. He's always been about the ArmWars/supermatch format, not the tournaments. He's called out Cyplenkov for years, even having sponsors agree to put up thousands of dollars to the winner. In a 6-pull, or even best of 7 format, Devon wouldn't lose to anybody left-handed.

People are saying about Cyplenkov vs Larrat but now I would like to see Pushkar vs Larratt first. Andrei improved alot and Devon seems to be weak as hell. Max Svalina Endurance is useless if you haven't got power in your arm. I mean look at the Devon's match vs Ivakin in 2006. Larratt had better endurance but he won only 2 first rounds. Later he lost all 4 rounds. Taras was too strong with his devastating top roll for Devon then. Andrei has been improved a lot, speccially on his right hand. I don't think that Devon would lost against Andrei 6:0 now. I mean it would be much more difficult to Devon to control this match like 2 years ago. I've never heard that Devon challenged Denis 3 times(!). You said that tournaments is a rubbish way of showing who is the best. But because of tournaments you're know more or less who is the best and later you can plan the supermatches with best guys. And it works very well. Without tournaments how would you know who is the best? Dave Chaffee is there where he is because of Nemiroff (tournament). Without Zloty Tur he would have never been in Top 3 heavies in the world (right hand). To be honest I've never heard, and propably not only me, about him before his match against Cyplenkov in 2013. Now he is Top 3 right handed heavyweights.

The problem is Denis doesn't do supermatches so you have to go to A1 or Nemoriff to face him. The problem with that is other guys can lay down to Denis and go extra hard against you. So when it's your turn against Denis he is more fresh than you are, so it doesn't really determine who is better does it? Even Tim Bresnan said after watching Denis at the 2013 Nemiroff that Denis really only pulled 3/11 matches, the rest were lay down. So how are you meant to have a fair fight against Denis? Answer.....a super match, which takes out all the other variables. And yes since 2010 Devon has called Denis out to a super match 3 times with Denis declining all matches, just ask Devon. I've also pulled Devon in practice, he's incredible strong and endurance is through the roof. I don't think Pushkar has improved that much, he's quite a docile arm wrestler, all power with little technique, once he tires he's easy to beat. And there is no way he can beat Devon in a super match no chance, left anyway. Devon is tot strong with too much endurance and probable the most skill on the table in the world...very hard to beat in a super match. I'm pretty sure he would wear Denis out too.

When we talk about Voevoda, he used to train like that year after match against Bagent. Alexei said that he gained 17 lbs of muscle mass 1 year after loss and you saw that he destroyed Bagent at Nemiroff 2004. And you should know that If you weaker than your opponent but mentally stronger, you can win. Bagent is great at that kinda games. And come on, do you think that Larratt can beat Denis left handed? Bagent has always been great with his left-hand, but I don't think he is in higher level than Denis right now. Or even Pushkar. Larratt had a much better level 2 years. At the time I thought that he could fight against anyone. Right now, he doesn't look as strong, especially with his right hand. As an American, I always love to see my home country win, but I just can't get behind a guy like Travis - he has absolutely no class whatsoever. It's one thing to be confident and even a little cocky, and another entirely to be so arrogant and low rent that you have no respect for the sport or any of the competitors in it. His dad was a piece of trailer trash that was never around because he was too busy arm-wrestling, of all things (gotta have your priorities straight, after all), and Travis' kids will grow up just the same. Even if he spends more time around them to his bum dad did with him, they'll grow up with absolutely no humility or respect for their peers because that's exactly what they'll learn from him (those will be some well-adjusted members of society, let me tell you). Once his career is over, he'll be living in a motor home and running an arm wrestling bar just like his old man. Travis has amazing speed especially for someone so big. What larratt has to do is absorb the hit at the start and hope he doesnt get pinned. If he does then he can hold travis all day and tire him out. If not then the results are this match and it appears he gets pinned easily.
