Talk about a complete surprise. I wrote this thing off as being the normal boring sub-60 FPS boring pistol we've seen multiple times before... and then it comes out and it's actually somewhat usuable? And reloads fast? And looks cool to boot? Alright NERF, you've caught me: I like this thing and I think it's worth checking out.

The absolute best thing about the Fortnite game is the blasters that have been spawned from, and hopefully will continue to be. Unlike the video game, you can get blaster outta box and take cover, maybe get off a few shots before being taken out by a sniper or shotgunner.

Great video! I am about as surprised as you are to see how good this thing is. In fact, I want one now. It's worth noting NFStrike does have an upgrade spring for the old Star Wars blasters you mentioned. Theoretically, it could work with this one. I'd give it a try.

This would be a welcomed replacement for my current Nerf secondary (2 Sidestrikes and a Jolt.) Internal magazine beats front loader hands down... in a stressful situation (your opponent trying to shoot you) reloading a front loader is tricky...

NFStrike DOES carry an upgrade-spring for blasters that use that goofy tapered spring. Not sure how MUCH of an improvement it offers, but enough to make something like this guy a little more mighty.

Bought the gun yesterday. Was very disappointed since it was weaker than a 10 dollar adventure force gun. The silencer also doesn't work well since most of the times it just slows down the bullets, rather than extend the range. I don't recommend buying this gun to anyone who is curious about it.

I bought it. I remember that the first time i opened the SPL the magazine broke and the plastic spring from the trigger broke also 1 week later, and for me it didnt reach 30 fps, it was hitting 20 fps consistently.

AFAIK the tapered spring doesn't make it any harder to upgrade, at least with the han solo blaster. you just can't have too long or too thick of a spring obviously.

Hmm, seeing how the handle/grip comes off, I think with some molding and sculpting knowledge you could make a custom handle for this blaster. Could maybe even do it with a 3D printer.

There is no upgrading the spring sadly. I've tried everything, and it will not let you keep the slide back far enough to load it on a prime unless you use the tapered spring it comes with, or from a 3rd party that still sells them. Just get the TS thats coming out next month.

Some mod ideas. -Putting a hand guard on it makes it look like the M-4 Shuriken or the M-3 Predator from Mass Effect. Purely cosmetic, but still neat. -Permanently modding in a six round magazine would give you two more shots while still making it somewhat holster-able. Plus it would give you something to do with all of your extra six round magazines. -If you go with a ten rounder, it looks like the M-9 Tempest, but you lose the holster-ability.

It was definitely worth it for me cause it has good stock power and i found it on sale for 11 dollars. The only problem i have with it is the fortnite logos, i dont really like fortnite but this pistol is pretty great with its fast loading system!

They’ve been trying to deter modders for a while. First they changed the plunger heads to make spring replacements more difficult, then came the dreaded solvent weld.

i talked to someone with hasbro in 2014 he told me that they do not want to have their blasters modified. considering the internals got more locksafes and extra layers of plastic (example recon compared to retaliator). They have been making strides towards that for a while

If you cut off the squared ends of a newer buzz bee jaguar spring it will fit and catch, with messing around with it, it hits 95 to 100 fps

Finding an upgrade spring for that won't be a problem, nfstrike has sprigs for almost every single blaster made, including this when I checked a few days ago. They also had elastic for the crossbolt and a breech system for the firestrike
