Incase you didn't know Rowsfire, LighTake, NFstrike and WorkerKit are the same company are owned by the same company. The reason why you get different emails for product reviews is because there are multiple salesmen competing for commission. -Justin

Hmm....Maybe it's the flywheels. Metal flywheels have a terrible grip on darts. Try some Bulldogs or other smooth acetal wheels and maybe it'll work better.

This is the kind of content I wish to see the most - solid review of stuff that is only described with broken English otherwise. Thanks! Definitely getting the cage. Do You think You could make a comparison of the motors and krakens/reVamps?
@ashleyl3861
@ashleyl3861 6 жыл бұрын
at 3s the motors have higher RPM then Krakens, and 2s reVamps, which is actually outside the sweet spot that MTB calculated for flywhell motors. They also are quite amp hungry in comparison. Also both Krakens and revamps are cheaper to purchase. Worker = 43000 rpm, 45 amp stall, torque 1520 Kraken = 35000 rpm, 26 amp stall, torque 740 reVamp = 37000 rpm, 28 amp stall, torque 500 So either the worker ones are super torquey or their number is incorrect...
@ashleyl3861
@ashleyl3861 6 жыл бұрын
Looking further their closest comparison would be Neo-Hellcats 36000 RPM, 40 amp stall, torque 1260. So I suppose the worker torque number may be correct.
@valerielastname9508
@valerielastname9508 6 жыл бұрын
According to NFStrike, those motors put out 1520 g-cm of torque. That's more than Neo-Hellcats, which go for $14/each, so $18/pair (current price on NFStrike) isn't too bad. It's also twice the torque of Neo-Rhinos or Krakens, which go for $8/each. Try putting some lighter wheels in there (Worker Aluminums are heavy AF) and see how the spinup time feels.
@cjaussienerfer8169
@cjaussienerfer8169 6 жыл бұрын
Valerie Lastname I agree, using slightly light wheels I’ve able to achieve about 150 average to all dart type, however I’ve gone through at least five pairs of worker motors and they don’t last as long as those to neo hellcats, which I’ve since swapped to and have had no issues and still maintaining the 150+ average
@cjaussienerfer8169
@cjaussienerfer8169 6 жыл бұрын
So as much as they give more than neo hellcats, their reliability still needs working on
@valerielastname9508
@valerielastname9508 6 жыл бұрын
@@cjaussienerfer8169 Huh, interesting. How heavily did you use them before they wore out? Also, what cage+wheels did you use, and how did the spin up time compare to Neo-cats?
@Flygonial
@Flygonial 6 жыл бұрын
Something interesting to note is if you could use these motors on 2S at lower crush level. The stall current drops down to something reasonable, 28k RPM is still capable of supporting theoretically about 160~ FPS (though probably lower because the RPM will drop). And still around 1000 gf.cm of torque.
@valerielastname9508
@valerielastname9508 6 жыл бұрын
@@Flygonial 28k RPM and 34mm wheels means a no-load edge speed of 160 fps, yes, but edge speed starts to be a factor at around 20% no-load above glass ceiling (modern high-crush setups hit 160 fps with 33k RPM motors, but can hit 165-170 with Wolverines [www.reddit.com/r/Nerf/comments/81wzbr/170_fps_flywheel_no_eclipse_mtb_wolverines_black/]), so I'd expect around 130-140 with these motors, regardless of glass ceiling.

Oh god, when the wheels stopped short in the first test my skin crawled. That horrible noise haunts me. "Is it shorting? Are my wheels fucked? Oh no oh no oh no"
@RoryStarr
@RoryStarr 5 жыл бұрын
Regarding the idea that the wheels add spin, my understanding is any addition of spin during the propelling process subtracts a certain amount of energy committed to forward momentum. Consequently, spin = lower fps, higher accuracy. I could be wrong about that.

I'm pretty much getting the same performance with Krakens if not slightly worse. Same setup but with Krakens. Worker's motors are high rpm 180s. Why would higher spec-ed motors be worse than low spec? Worker 180s are spec-ed higher or at least the new ones are over Krakens.

@Balabalabuu

I ran with this setup and get some really disappointing results. My suspicion is that the wheel are just not cutting it. They don’t have enough friction to grab onto the darts even tho the cage is high crush. Accuracy is really bad for my case, I have darts going almost 90 degree left or right the moment they exit the barrel. Honestly, I agree with u that the original white plastic wheels are much better. The motors tho, they are just something else. 1590 g/cm of torque and 39A of stall current according to the customer support on TaoBao, these motors are no joke. The wheels are what’s holding this set up back, swap those stupid metal wheels for the white worker wheels and see what happens I guess
@Balabalabuu
@Balabalabuu 5 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the broken English, but you get my point: workers hit the home run with the motor and the cage this time, but in classic worker fashion, they screwed up something and it happens to be the wheels. Have fun flinging darts!

So, yes on the Worker 42.5mm crush cage, no on Worker 3S motors of indeterminate specs, and possibly no on the Worker aluminum flywheels. They also make POM wheels with the same diagonal cut grooves if those actually put spin on darts, which could really only be confirmed by not using accustrike copies. 150 happens to be the cap for a lot of HvZ games as well as BTA 5v5 league play, but... there are quite a few other ways to get that performance using other set ups, so maybe it should just boil down to accuracy (wheels).

I have the worker cage that angles the motors. It works really well with 7.4 volts on 132 motors and the hex traction aluminum flywheels. It is comparably accurate with elites and still fires at a competitive 110 fps. Gonna switch to lipos eventually cause my stryfe is a blue one and the battery tray springs are wearing from age.

does the fly wheel make it more powerful
@WalcomS7
@WalcomS7 5 жыл бұрын
Sorta. The distance between the flywheels (the, 'crush') is what gives it more power, though bigger/thicker flywheels adds more crush, as well as the weight of the flywheel for how fast it's spinning. It affects everything a little bit.
@dannyd7426

What is “crush”? Is that how tightly the flywheels grab the dart or are we talking hardness of the metal?
@darkwhite1259

crush is how close the flywheel surfaces are. the closer the flywheels, the higher the crush and therefore(generally) more velocity.

Higher crush (41.5) requires more torque on the motors and yields higher FPS. Lesser numbers require less and contribute less FPS.

@@dudebro7227 You can barely fit a 950mAh one with a ton of cutting, it's a really tight fit at that: in fact I've only ever found one of my 4 identical lipos that would fit because it's a few mm smaller. There are plenty of Stryfe extended battery trays though, or more appropriately I'd pick up a battery stock.

@WalcomS7
@WalcomS7 4 жыл бұрын
@@dudebro7227 Depends on the motors. The S of a LiPo is how many cells it has and thus how much voltage it has. Motors are designed for different amounts of voltage. a Fang Revamp, which is a 2S motor, isn't exactly all that different performance wise from a Kraken which is a 3S motor. Historically, 3S motors have more torque.
