Been wanting this for a long time! Nice to see you guys doing a proper demo of it. Had a Streichfett for years and loved it a lot. This sounds much better the Behringer, IMO. It doesn’t quite have that analog bite and warmth that the Behringer (or Rolands original) has, but what it lacks there it makes up for in ethereal, spacey, atmospheric goodness. Sounds like it’s from another world sometimes once you really dig into the parameters.

I already have a blofeld desktop synth which plays beautiful sounds and regret not splashing out and getting the keyboard version. But now with this I can see a new synth coming my way... See what the money situation is in the new year!

So a Waldorf Streichfett with a built in keyboard and vocoder :p. The entire right section is exactly the same as the Streichfett, I absolutely love my Streichfett.

apart from the vocoder, what is the string synth can do that another poly with pads can’t? What a prophet 12 or a Novation summit can’t with a good phaser? Actually, I can’t find the classic solina / eminent sound here even if it approach it with phasing.

Amazing possibilities. The memory allows you to record one sample. It's like buying a camera that only takes one picture. Because if I do my way, the first one disappears. PS: If you turn it off, even this one vocoder disappears. Bravo Waldorf, I moved to the 1950s

Waldorf STVC: digital, $1,000. Behringer VC-340: analog, $450, reproduction of a classic unit used on classic recordings. I think it's pretty clear what the better deal is here.

The problem I always had with the Streichfett was the lack of a simple filter. All the sounds were beautiful on their own, but found them really hard to fit into any sort of mix without a filter. This instrument would be really fun to own, but I feel like it's pretty lazy of Waldorf to not expand on the Streichfett further than adding a vocoder.

all you see on the internet is purchased reviews. Unfortunately, this equipment has a lot of disadvantages that disqualify it. 1.Display with a diagonal of 1cm! Shock. 2. Only one wocoder can be saved. No Filter Cut off,. It is so anachronistic and inconvenient that I am in a severe shock from so many positive reviews

Sounds like those monophonic settings in the solo section has portamento. I wonder if the aftertouch can do pitch bend for the solo section while not effecting the string section.
