Everyday all over the world the English language is spoken more and more extensively. As the world becomes steadily globalized, the world's minor languages are slowly being swallowed by the major languages, hundreds have become extinct. Yet for thousands of years the Welsh, living right next door to England, have resisted the incursion of the English language. The Welsh language is alive and thriving, a testament to the resilience of cultural identity and pride. This performance is a reflection of that spirit -- a hymn sung so lovingly and straight from the heart. And the message is as important as it is beautiful: the wish for a pure heart in the midst of all the commercialism and greed that humanity has produced. A truly marvelous performance.

Regarding the comment made about lip-synching, I understand where you're getting that idea from but it's not correct. Here's how things like this work: they got all those singers and instrumentalists together and made the recording (audio and video). You can see the microphones. The audio is SEPARATE because it has to undergo some post-production work (compressing, balancing) to make the clean version you hear here. There's a lot of ambient noise at a true "live" concert and for this sort of thing you want to edit that out. Then they re-edit the video footage and match it up with the EQ recording. Which is why it occasionally seems off. So did all these wonderful musicians and singers get together and make this beautiful music? Yep. Are you watching the SIMULTANEOUS live audio and video recording? Nope. It would seem to be a enormous undertaking to assemble all those people just to lip-sync to a CD recording. lol
@vecinoslacalavilla7 жыл бұрын
Well said, and you are spot on there, some people just have no idea about video & audio editing and quality, they think its just point and shoot, a tremendous amount of sweat went into making this 02:52 long video and track..
