Which URC star do you want to see highlights of next?

We have not had any joy filling the 10 shirt since Biggar retired. Dan Edwards is the real deal.

I did however love the way he combed his hair before taking a penalty kick lol.
@Llewz21 күн бұрын
He definitely deserves his chance.
@Rebelass7417 күн бұрын
Isn't he too slight for International rugby? Costelow is not the answer, so Ben Thomas is the only option we have. I will be honest, I haven't seen much of this lad but he looks little small for me. Hope I'm wrong.

@@Rebelass74 Smaller in the backline is more speed and agility.
@jacdimond14 күн бұрын
@Rebelass74 I always think of Damien Mckenzie when it comes to these things, and he's roughly the same height as Dan Edwards and lighter actually.

It great to see some good young Welsh talent coming through. I hope this is a sign of more to come.

I seriously cant understand how costelow is rated above him! Absolute madness.
@RhysWilliams-u3o25 күн бұрын
Probably something to do with how he trains or his mentality. Gatland is a stickler for how players behave when in camp.

@@RhysWilliams-u3oEdwards has never been in camp so gatland wouldn’t know
@rhiannonchaffer258824 күн бұрын
There's been a lot of talk about letting Dan develop in the league...think he's ready now. He was invited into camp last summer but was suffering from concussion so couldn't. If Gatland doesn't call him up for the 6 Nations this year, he really will be showing how out of touch he is.
@richardclatworthy638117 сағат бұрын
If you knew how Gatland operated you would understand 🤦🏻♂️ He did the same with Priestland for years while we had much better 10s at our disposal……
@RhysWilliams-u3o16 сағат бұрын
@sionyboii he's been in the young players training pathway, training with the welsh coaches but not with the national team. So yes he does know.
@Davsssdd344-r7p26 күн бұрын
Surely this lad has to be in the next Welsh squad, even if he doesn't start I'd play him against Italy, (No I'm not saying we will beat Italy) but that would be the game I'd put in for, As long as Gatland let's him play and not just kick the poxy ball. Doesn't look like he has any fear at all and loves to play with the ball in hand.
@Jon-bk2yw25 күн бұрын
Well said he's got that sudden acceleration and an eye for a gap and a good offload too.following Wales from afar (New Zealand) all the best for the upcoming 6nations I hope he makes the squad

As an outsider looking in who remembers the U20 6n in 2022 he looked pretty good for Wales in that tournament even though Wales weren’t great in it. He is the one they should be putting everything behind and is or certainly will be better than what Wales currently have.

A young 10 in side that's constantly under pressure, he's going to be targeted, like Teddy and Morse it's s only a matter of time before the shirt is his.
@npotter302225 күн бұрын
I think it's a good thing that he hasn't been picked yet. He's still learning, and rather than suddenly being pushed into a poorly performing Welsh team, he's got the opportunity to learn game control at URC level. I feel that there's a few players in the Welsh team who have really been picked too soon and has completely undermined their confidence and development. I'd be happy if Edwards had the rest of the season, training with the Welsh squad, then was introduced for the Japan tour. The same should apply to Ford and Wilde, talented players who need time to develop.

Yes an attacking creative no 10. Watch some grebo flatten him after the ball. One promising career ruined. Late hits on no 10s need to be red carded imo else we lose that creativity from the game. That's why I've watched the game for decades.

No listen people Focusing on individual players will never work Use a wholistic approach to this game or you won’t beat South Africa or New Zealand. Get powerful forwards and back line players or you won’t make any of it
