Stop it guys! Jagjith Singh and Chitra Singh was married till he passed away. She stopped singing after the unfortunate death of their son. His voice is unreal and live performances were always best...one of the best records I had was his and Chitra's live performance at Royal Albert Hall, London... kzbin.info/www/bejne/ipzIaGWopMqDj9Esi=4Z595N4V_tL_ay3X Usage of Tabla in Ghazals are also. wonderful...you should also check out some of Mehdi Hasan saab classics...

Tum bin (1) is a musical masterpiece and yes you should watch it... Ask Waleska to be ready for some tears but you will be happy in the end... It was one of my fav movies growing up and the songs are as sweet as they can be.... Koi Fariyad, Choti Choti Baatein, Tumhare Siva, etc...

Let them pause however much they want? Lmao. Not you guys commanding them in the comments the audacity. Also they are both professional musicians of course they will notice and remark on things that can be missed by a layperson, and I frankly am here for that commentary. Not for someone to sit numb dumb and in awe while the video plays. Some reaction channels looking for easy views have clearly spoilt a lot of people to expect fake showers of praised bestowed on their fave videos without any actual understanding of the craft. Are you guys that easily impressed. Think about if you are looking for plain old validation from the reaction videos you consume or actual critical engagement. If its the former, its your problem not that of the people reacting. And if you find them pausing irritating, either don’t watch or use the magical mythical button that we call the “skip” button to just go to the parts of the video that interest you. God so much entitlement.

As a matter of fact I am understanding many technical aspects while watching their reactions which I wasn't aware of as a layman music lover.
@adityasshukla7 ай бұрын
What unique insights (or critical thinking) did you gather from this reaction? And just as you suggest others don't watch if they don't like it, I suggest they talk about the song or listen intently. How can one dissect if they can't afford to listen? And please do away with the validation thing. If you can't think ahead of this, it's your problem.

I really wish you could Understand Hindi and Urdu because the meaning of his lyrics are so deep and magical. You will understand what pain is, what love is. And the song 'Chitthi na koi sandesh' is based on when your loved one passes away. After the death of his son when he sang this song live you see the pain in his voice. There must be a video of that somewhere when he sang after his son's death the song 'chitthi na koi sandesh' and his wife just stopped singing after the son's death

Jagjit Singh's songs are so great. The sing hothon se choo lo tum is one of my very favourites. His songs are getting viral these days and now many people are discovering him again. By people, i mean the younger gen like ours cuz we didn't know him that well. Tbh, it's a nice thing that both ranbir and anushka acknowledged that the movie sucked later on 😂 Celebs in bolly rarely do that. IMO, the reason kajol didn't like it was that the movie clashed with Shivaay which was her husband's movie. It's something like that some bigger stars don't clash their movie in Bollywood in the name of friendship and all. Karan has been a good friend to SRK and Kajol (and her husband;ajay devgan) so it was a surprise that they clashed. Tbh, KJO is somebody that people in bolly really like or hate. He is like the gossiper and even has a show for it and all the celebs go there and have called him out many times. Though, he is the Godfather of Alia Bhatt.

Actually there is no modulation of the jaw that changes the notes... It's actually a type of gamaka... Which creates the fluctuations of the same note and helps to show note changes... But the changes happening through the throat... You also try this you'll understand... And in Indian classical music... Throat is the element of changes notes... No any other part

You have often expressed a desire to understand the meaning of the lyrics so here goes .... Dil hi to hai na sang-o-khist, It's a heart, not brick nor stone domain, Dard se bhar na aye kyu, Why wouldn’t it overflow with pain? Royenge hum hazar baar, I will cry a thousand tears of woe, Koi humein sataye kyu? Why would anyone disturb my sorrowful strain? Dair nahi haram nahi dar nahi aastan nahi, Its not the doorways nor houses of worship, nor the gates or doorsteps; Baithe hain reh guzar pe hum gair humein uthaye kyu? I sit in common passageways, why must anyone ask me to move again? Quaid-e-hayat o band-e-gham asl main dono ek hain, The prison of life and fetters of woe, are similar to each other Maut se pehle admi gham se najaat paye kyu? Why then, before death, should a man be freed from sorrow? Haan wo nahi khuda parast, jo wo bewafa sahi, Granted, he has lost his faith, certainly, he is disloyal; Jisko ho deen-o-dil aziz uski gali main jaye kyu? He who holds honor and love dear, then why must then loiter in his lanes? Ghalib-e-khast ke bagair kaunse kaam band hain, In the absence of Ghalib what in the world has come to a standstill? Roeeye zaar zaar kya keejiye haye haye kyu? Then why weep so bitterly, what's the reason for this lament? This is a poem written by Mirza Ghalib some 200 years ago and sung by Jagjit Singh for a tv serial called Mirza Ghalib. If you look for Jagjit's rendering of it, you might .... ENJOOOOOY

You don't like ghazals since it's clear you both can't stay quiet and listen for a while. Chat all you want when the camera is not on I'd say. Pausing every half minute and talking especially on irrelevant, tangential lines is highly disrespectful. Also, it may sound like ballad but the art form has developed in its own right in the Indian subcontinent, after it came from Persia.

This is what a reaction is. Go watch or listen to your ghazals on your own instead of coming here and acting on your high horse. If you can’t understand that this is how a reaction should be then then YOU are the problem. You need to shut up and go away . Ridiculous 😂
