It is utterly disappointing that no one is mentioning the man sharreth himself.He is one the most under used Music Directors in Malayalam music industry.The knowlegde that he has on carnatic music is unparellal.The few songs he did in malayalam speaks for itself.For example,"Maaleyam", "Valinmel poovum" , "Mayamanjalil" ,"Sudhamanthram" and so on.The one that is most recognizable is "Sreeragamo" from the movie Pavithram.Just hear the original track and there is a piano version( kzbin.info/www/bejne/kHvSg3t8pLBnaNk ) which is played and sang by himself.Just take a moment to appreciate the format he exetuted this. I hear you sometimes wondering what it is the audience expects from you in your reactions in the way that you catch yourself speechless because so much of it is new to you. Just wanted to let you know that at least for me, I don't watch you for technical explanations (although I appreciate it when you are able to catch something you can translate through the lens of your own learning and art) but I generally enjoy witnessing how you take in a new experience, a new piece of art, like watching a child experience things for the first time. We all experience this because there's so much in this world we can never possibly experience it all but it's always fascinating to see that first reaction and notice what part of yourself you connect to that piece you are taking in. In short, don't worry too much if you find yourself not being able to comment on something from a technical perspective. There's something genuine about the way you receive new music, whatever part of the world it may be from, and that's enough for me. :)

I'm not sure if someone else has stated this but at 7:26 in the video, you stated that "you loved the tabla". The drum you are referring to is actually the Mridangam which is primarily used in South Indian Classical (Carnatic). Meanwhile, the Tabla is one of the main percussion used in North Indian Classical (Hindustani). Hope this helped!!

I'm not sure if its tabla that's predominant in dis . I'm pretty sure it is Mridangam. Also Mridangam is mainly preferred for classical pieces especially down south over tabla as tabla is a more hindustani and is preferred in North Indian compositions. But that doesn't mean either of them can't be used.
