I love Waleska's version. Not to throw any shade for Filipino singers covering Mariah's version of the song but Waleska's take is a breath of fresh air and very original. I have always thought of the song as a something that celebrates Jesus' birth and Mariah's version doesn't really give me that warmth and the meaning but just a show of vocal prowess which FIlipino singers also followed. Would love to someday hear Waleska singing live, her e in PH or UK.

Thank you for reacting to this compilation. There are so many renditions of "O Holy Night". I like Waleska's rendition. I appreciate the high notes. There was a time when a lot of singers here in the Philippines sang that way.... a trend I might say, and believe me, a lot of them really hit those high notes with ease, like Sheryn Regis. I guess my ears got tired of it? Hehehe! I salute them for their vocal prowess. I prefer when the rendition really tugs a person's heart, regardless whether the singer sings freaking D5 and F#5 notes.
