Di Mapaliwanag is one of Morissette's underrated songs, and I think one reason is because not a lot of people attempted to cover the song just like the original arrangement. I mean, that song is insane: low notes, melismas, head voice, runs, super high belts and even that fricking whistle note. Thanks to this video for reminding me that that song exists. It's been a while since I give that one a listen 😂❤️

Most of the songs included here are all ballads and full of high notes, but what amazes me is sarah geronimo's songs tbh. Her ballads were already hard songs like FNE, HCYSYLM, and If Only, but her recent songs? UNDERRATED. From Ikot Ikot to Minamahal to Into the Sun to Kilometro to Sandata to Kilometro to Misteryo to Cuore.. they may not be as high but the vocal agility, the transitions, the accuracy of the songs are challenging as hell

to answer your question on why filipinos pronounce "f"' with a "p," maybe because 1. there are no tagalog words that start with nor contain the letter f including letters c, v and z. this is just my opinion coming from a civil engineer who deals with numbers.

When I look at the Ladys of the Philippinens and listen to them time and time again they are just the best, we are spoilt for choice, then I listen to our old favorits like Mariah, Whitney, Aretha, Adele and Celine even Lara Fabian, World stars, near to every female singer in the Philippinens is as good or better, the Difference is the Management and financial backing from large recording firms that do great Promotion for new Singers, Jay Z and others that have taken over, the old recording firms, have backed out that near to everything is online now, CD's are almost obsolete but thats the fault of the recording Studios pushing out CDs with only 2 or 3 good Songs on them from maybe 16 and paying more for that as a great film on a DVD, I'm not paying over 20 dollars for maybe 2 Songs when I can download for 20 dollars my 30 favorits if not more, I love big voices by men and women, from all the way back, many are no longer with us, from the men, Toni Christy, Tom Jones, Mat Monroe, and the smooth Andy Williams from when I was very young, now the Ladys from the past, Dusty Springfield, Aretha Franklin, Shirley Bassie even Barbara Streisand, and many more plus near to all Ladys from the Philippinens, go back to the 60s and discover great Singers.
