Those maxxis tyres are rubbish, side wall is like a wet paper bag and wear fast as hell

I personally like them. One of the best tyres I’ve used. They do wear faster but the softer compound offers better traction. So far they are the only tyre I’ve brought twice. And I’ll probably buy a third set.

@@DanielKistler the traction on them is good and a nice quiet tyre on the road but yeah not impressed with the wear and toughness of side wall on them

Yeah fair enough. Unfortunately no tyre is indestructible, and a side wall in a radial tyre will never be as tough as a bias tyre. Being a high load rated tyre with a 10 ply rating they are probably one of the toughest radial tyre on the market at the moment. There’s certainly much worse like Mickey Thompson, dick cepek and bfg but they are all pretty similar. The nittos were probably the toughest radial I’ve used and I did like them, but the razrs handle far batter on the road.

@@DanielKistler yeah all those other brands are definitely terrible compared to the razrs, nittos are the ones I’m trying next Best tyre I found for on road and off-road would be the procomp extremes, but unfortunately they’re not being imported into aus anymore which is a bummer

Nittos are definitely worth a try, hard to get at the moment I’m pretty sure! Seems most tyres are!
