I Spent 80 Hours 100%ing Forager...

Don’t remember it taking me that long to 100% foragers, but then again i had the advantage of light houses not having been nerfed twice yet and the dev team hadn’t fallen apart yet. A lot of the game is idling so a lot of my play time was spent doing something else. The part that took me the longest was void related ones and getting nuclear buildings. The coin ones were some of the first ones i got. Waterproofing was by far the most tedious given how finicky and uneven the tiles you can interact with are. Check out Nova Lands next if you liked Forager cus the game is pretty similar but it takes place in space.

This game, oh my word. Once you start, you can't stop or you'll forget EVERYTHING you were doing. Takes me like an hour to get back in, and then next thing I know 8 hours have passed.

I know a lot of people had issues with the “waterproof” achievement for building on every water tile. Console controls made it extremely hard or impossible for some to cover certain spaces (specifically areas around the rainbow). I’m not sure if that’s what makes it impossible but I ran into discussions about that while having my own troubles on pc.

fun fact: in old forager times, the bosses in the void could drop spirit orbs. Yes. I got literally almost got 400 spirit orbs upon reaching round 50. so i stopped the run by leaving the game (i cant die bc i had like 60+ fairy in a bottle on me), put all of the orbs into damage, and one shotted things in the void until round 20

Pro Tip: Get the combat perk. It makes your pickaxe do 2 more damage. This means you mine everything much much faster. Really good in early game

I held the record in the void realm for a short while back when droids were even more OP. The limit was basically your PC, it probably still is. I stopped when the I got like 1 frame ever 5 seconds.

Madness is super-rare. Or at least it was in my recent hard-mode game. Didn't get it once. But yeah, any time I got spirit orbs in any playthrough, I popped it right back into hearts; because you can only get so much max stamina, and you can make scrolls for leveling up, damage is nice but it's also one of the options that comes up fairly frequently in the dark shrines... so might as well sink the heart to see if something else happens or if I just end up increasing damage anyways. ;). OH! And I'll trade hearts for droids ANY day with one of those shrines. I think I had 50-75ish in my latest run (the hard mode one), and over 100 in one of my earlier runs... lag. is. real. ... Even WITH a quarter of them docked on machines. (Hint: Look up "secret settings" in your appdata folder. 😉 Though the smol-droids DO seem to indicate that you already know. LOL )

That's what I learned the hard way after completing the skull dungeon and selling some and drinking other potions I got instead of drinking them all at once and getting the 35(!!!) flasks, I felt so stupid. That would have saved me so much sand(I didn't have any shovel that guarantees sand upon digging) Edit: apparently the potions weren't a reward of the skull maze as it is but they were inside the dungeon in the chest that you saw at 17:44

1:30 The problem with this logic is that industry gives you an additional source of xp and foraging would spawn more xp sources, meaning, in the early game that likely amounts to more than a 25% bonus. And also economy enables getting a second island, which gives you many more xp sources early game. Since you had to go AFK due to the lack of resources, you probably agree that economy or foraging would've been the best in hindsight to prevent that, as the 25% xp bonus ironically turns out to get you the least xp early due to resource limitations.

Fun Fact: That same amount of lag you had with the sheep is about the same as the start of the game on switch. Later in, the reason i didn't 100% is because 1 second tick took 6 seconds (not exaggerating.)

Hard for 80h to break someone. 100h to 100% a game isn't that long. Especially compared to stuff like Payday 2, or even the Binding of Isaac: Rebirth with DLCs (300h, watched the game, a little over 50% achievs).

@@plantplayer303 yeah. I had 4200 hours in Isaac before repentance, I had 3m%(3 one millions%). So now I have infinity(3 dead gods) after another 650 hours of gameplay including I had to complete only new content from repentance! So, yeah, 80h is not that many comparing to other 100% games.
