Elvis war so großartig! Und sollte ich es noch erleben, dass Zeitreisen möglich werden, dann reise ich zurück und werde ihn kennenlernen! Und wenn das nicht klappt: "I'll meet You in heaven one day, my Darling Elvis" 🌈❤❤❤

Yes. It was written by Joe South and he did a great version of it as well.

Just one of Joe South's terrific songs!😄😃😘
@meetontheledge13809 ай бұрын
South's version of Hush (which he wrote) is better than Deep Purple's IMO (more funk!). I never Promised You a Rose Garden, Down In the Boondocks, the universally acclaimed Games People Pay (check out Waylon's version!), and yes, Joe South even gave Elvis a run for his money on Walk A Mile In My Shoes. I love his Don't it Make You Wanna Go Home. South was also an excellent guitar man!
@joesouthsgirl56629 ай бұрын
@@meetontheledge1380 I thoroughly agree with you. He was a very talented man. He also was a producer of others music in his younger years.😊🥰

@@joesouthsgirl5662 That's right . He was also reputed to be quite the guitar player. He had so many talents, it's easy to overlook some!

@@meetontheledge1380 Yes, but thankfully some people know of Joe. I just wish he would get his due respect from the music industry. He may have had issues with addictions, but ALOT of artists and regular folks do too. He got clean in his later years. He really was a great songwriter, musician, singer, and pretty nice man. I Love him.

Isn't it crazy that Elvis thought he'd be forgotten about oh Elvis if you only could see😎
@meetontheledge13809 ай бұрын
It kills me that he believed (as he told Billy Smith in his last months) that he had accomplished nothing of enduring value and would not be remembered. He was depressed in those last years. I'd love to have a time machine and tell him -you will be universally acclaimed. as the most galvanizing personality of the 20th century. But I doubt he would have believed me or even grasped the implications. Such is the mystery of historical perspective.

I remember the day they announced his death sitting in the back of my mom's hot rod car. I told my mom what I heard and she said to me. Don't be playing that game with me. He didn't die. We got home and the first thing my dad said. Pat did you hear that Elvis died. I saw the color drain from my mom's face and she almost pass out. My dad had to help her sit down. That was the first time I had ever saw my mom's heart break. That Christmas my dad bought her all kinds of memorabilia and this one picture he bought her, she cherished. She hung that picture over top of her couch and every morning she'd wake up and say, morning my sweet Elvis. Its was kind of funny, my dad would laugh at her and say, gee you don't say morning to me like that. Late 1978 my dad rented a charter bus and sent her and a few of her friends to Graceland. When she came back she said she had a blast but she said she felt a bit odd at Graceland. Dad asked her what she meant and she told him that, she didn't have the feeling he had passed away. From that time on she refused to believe he passed on, God rest his soul. Every day when my mom and I would be cleaning up, she put on her favorite Elvis album and we'd dance around the house. She always called him Elvis the Pelvis and she'd get her grove on. What was really odd was the day my father was killed by a hit and run driver. Driver has never been brought to justice. That day when we found out he was killed my mom was on the couch talking to the police and the picture just fell. For two years that picture stayed on the wall and never moved an inch. We were all in total shock. Unfortunately my mom passed on in 2000 and I received all her memorabilia of that she collected over the years. I have a room full of Elvis, Marilyn Monroe, JFK articles and Princess Diana's things in a room on display. These were all the people my mom loved and I have loved all my life. They are so missed and loved. God bless their souls. They will never be dead in my heart.

Elvis had long feet. They also helped to give him more strength and sensuality in his leg movements. It seems to me that he was carrying 43 a European measure. But I'm not 100% sure. What godasse? The translator does not translate me. Hug Phil :-)
