There aren't too many wagons left to buy these days, with SUVs dominating the market, but Audi still makes a good one with the A4 Avant.

This A4 I own and the boot is BIGGER than the Q5 I used to have The boot is deeper and only narrower. The deeper boot makes some cabin size luggage easier to play boot Tetris with ... I can fit 2 teenager and wife and 3 small dogs and a bike on the roof for a car trip over the new year

I will be doing everything in my power to buy the remaining B9 A4 Allroad before production ends. If the B10 mirrors current Audi interior design language, I will gladly take a B9. 1) This vehicle generation has sorted out any bugs 2) Many manufacturers are moving away from all-screen interiors and moving back to a mix of physical controls and screens 3) The VW group has been moving away (slightly) from their premium materials philosophy I love EVs but there is still a place for efficient petrol (not overly complicated) vehicles for long-distance travel. Thanks for the great review and perspective.

Absolutely. I was just making a comparison between this particular car and the SUVs I’ve tested on this channel. This was the first wagon I’ve tested.

Wheelbase is the same as the sedan, but length might be longer. Surprised to see it's smaller than an Octavia, given I thought it was on a different platform. Looks tighter than a 3 series in the back. How was it on course Aussie country roads?

It was actually really good on country roads. The Dynamic setting kept it firmly planted to the road although it get a bit noisy and bumpy if the surface wasn’t perfectly smooth. Changing back to Comfort mode sorted that though.
