Worked in the city early to mid sixties, anyone of those ladies could be me. Walked everywhere. Take me back.

I remember all of those sites & buildings. I spent countless hours walking the streets of Brisbane. I first came to Brisbane in 1956 & those scenes are seared into my memory. Thanks for airing this video.

King George Square. Traffic area, then a beautiful grassy area over the car park. Great place for lunch. Now a slab of concrete

I grew up in Brisbane in the 60s....it was a great time to be a kid! I would hate to be a child today...with all the craziness and horror going on in the world right now.

Amazing to see the old Cloudland Ballroom. What a pity it was demolished. My parents actually met each other there.

Yeah, what a landmark Cloudlands was. I remember in the 50s driving past it on Saturday mornings on our way to the Valley Baths, followed by the pictures in the afternoons. (at one of the many suburban theatres)

Never noticed palm trees in front of city hall before. A real Queensland scene.

Q. What is the tall red brick building at 1.01 - 1.08? A hospital? What is the old stone building behind the greenery fence at 5.00 - 5.05?

Looks like 1965 to early 1966. The Tower Mill hotel under construction here opened in the second half of 1966.
