How hard would it be to add a second ring for your bottom bracket for at least a high/low option?

I have not done that, but I have heard of others who have, and yes, I am sure it would add some gear range. I would advise contacting Rohloff (rear internal hub manufacturer) to see if that is advisable. I really can't think of a reason such an idea would not work, but I'm no expert with the Rohloff. If they okay the idea, then it would be a fun experiment to try. The derailleur post is already there, so mechanically it seems within reasonable reach. steve

I also noticed your full fat in the video only had one sprocket up front with no e-assist…Did you change out a triple chain ring for a single….because you installed the Rohloff rear hub? On that note is a single up front w/the Rohloff rear enough gearing for the hills AND the flats? FYI…I have read that people have used (just fine) a Rohloff + a Schlumph drive up front + an eassist with some saying it’s fine within a specific sprocket range and others saying it voids the Rohloff warranty as others say the Rohloff is indestructible with a couple of sheer pins that protect the internals against over doing it. Just trying to sort it all out😂.

@@user-wo2rv2kv9d My ICE Full Fat came as shown from the factory, with a single ring in front (about 32 teeth). I like the setup because there is no front shifting needed, and for me, the Rohloff was sufficient with its huge gear inch range. Regarding a Schlumpf up front with a Rohloff in the rear, my friend Matt Galat (the JaYoe! KZbin channel) has used this exact setup you talk about here. It worked for him. He could answer your questions from first-hand experience.
