It's way better now. Feels like I have twice the space I had before. Thanks

I like the "kitchen" setup. I have some old cabinets I will use in my engine room when I get it built.

My neighbor got these for me from a remodel job he did at work. I think they turned out great and am grateful he found them for me.

Nice shop! Is that engine out of an IMCA modified?

Yes I use to race a lot of IMCA, USRA and open. It's a 406 methanol roller. I built it myself and it has 55 nights on it but the last night I raced it I ran a lap or so with no oil pressure. I didn't believe the gauge and light but I decided to come in to the pits and pulled the distributer and found the oil pump broke off. Took it back home and pulled the pan. I checked all the rod and main bearings, they were all ok and even had oil on them still. I would like to check the cam bearings and now it will need new valve springs after sitting this long. Thanks

@@petescustomcarshop Do IMCA modifieds still use a production front clip? Our modifieds have been fully fabricated since the late 70s. Sounds like you have a lot of freedom in the engine department. We had to run a 2 barrel cast iron intake with a 500cfm 2 bbl Holley. Stock crankshaft with minimum 50 lb. weight. .550 maximum cam lift with flat tappet lifters. We were allowed roller rockers. They just in the last few years allowed an Edelbrock aluminum 4 bbl manifold. We still have run an adaptor plate with the 2 bbl Holley. New Hampshire tracks run a 650 cfm 4 bbl with a 602 crate engine.

Yes as far as I know and at least when I was racing we had to use the front frame, mine is the metric Monty Carlo early 80"s style. The engine rules were simple at time when I was racing and it was just an American made natural aspirated engine, no aluminum blocks if you ran aluminum heads you were to add 100lbs ahead of the mid plate single carburetor with mufflers also no nitro.

I save anything that I could someday possibly use again. I have saved all my old used bolts over the years and now having my own shop I am able to sell them. Thanks
