My first time here but really enjoyed it. Need to go back! I would highly recommend coming here for lunch!
Open on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays all year from 6 or 7AM - 3PM. They are closed for Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.
Address is 23 North Market Street, Lancaster City, PA (in downtown Lancaster).

There are 2 accessible-friendly entrances at doors 1 and 2, on the southeast corner of the Market House.
There most popular stands are S. Clyde Weaver's Meats, Barr's Produce, Pretzels on Market, Kom Essa and Central Market Juice.
These have been around for 20+ years: Weaver's, Groff's, Shenk's, Long's and The Goodie Shoppe.
The longest running stands are Stoner's Homegrown Vegetables - more than 100 years; Thomas produce - more than 80; and Long's - more than 60!

Thank you for this video! When I was a small child, in the 50’s, my grandfather would always go to Weavers Meats and by sweet Lebanon bologna and Hinkles Egg Dye and bring it down to Philly for our family. It was always a special treat. I have never been to the Market and it was nice to see it! Thanks again.

Yes it is very cool! I’ve never been to the one in Harrisburg but I grew up in York and went to that one w my parents often. My favorite is Roots though in Manheim ☺️👍

I flew up from Chattanooga Tennessee and that is one of the places I went to. Found several yummy foods to eat. I was there in September 2022. I'm enjoying your videos. I hope to come back up there.

Oh you are going at such a perfect time of year! It was beautiful this weekend when we were there but it will just get better over the next several weeks! Happy for you 2! And I understand- I have never been to Central Market so it was a treat. I LOVE Roots though plus it’s easier to get to and park compared to the city. Have a great time!

@@ElleLiving thank you so much .my wife and I always do have a wonderful time in Lancaster. Now this October we’re staying 3 say’s. So we’ll be looking for new places to eat. We are booked for a dinner show on Friday the 21st. Saturday night fever. . We’re also looking for Stromboli’s and .wings.and i love my burgers. Real good burgers. We can’t wait!? Great vedio!

This is a great market, one of the best in the nation that I’ve visited. Actually the only market I’ve liked better is in Barcelona.

The one time ai visited the market I got the orange milk from Maplehoffs. It was insanely delicious.

@@ElleLiving Yes! Someday I’ll have to go back and try the other flavors. In my area (CT/RI) coffee milk is a thing, which you wouldn’t expect to work but it’s wonderful.

thanks Dani. great tour. wife and I can not always get there due to timing. we went a few months ago on the way to a Peruvian restaurant not too far away. there is a pickle stand at the market that I’m addicted to. Hello!! Love Lancaster. My husband, son & I visit there quite often. At least 4 times a year on average. I hope you have the opportunity to do the Chocolate Walk in Lititz this weekend (Saturday, October 8th). It's an amazing event sampling all things made with chocolate throughout the town of Lititz. Over 30 stops in total. This will be my family & mines 7th Chocolate Walk. If you do not have tickets for it this year, I highly recommend it for you to do next year. Tickets go on sale July 1st. It would make a great video!! Take care!!

Hi Robin! This is so funny because we WERE at the Chocolate Walk!!! It was an outstanding day!! Lititz is just one of the most beautiful towns on a normal basis but then you add chocolate and volunteers and it is just perfect 👍 And it’s so awesome that you have done it 7 times! If I lived closer I would go every year!! My friends who were with me have already decided to come next year 🤩🤩😍😍. I am in a wedding that day so I will miss but I sure loved it this year:) 💞👏. Nice to “meet” another Lancaster fan!

What was some of your favorite samples?? A favorite of mine is the chocolate panini from Scooters Restaurant (hosted at Cherry Acres Furnishings). It's amazing!! Yes, I love Lititz!!❤❤ It's one of my favorite places to visit (would love to live there one day). They always have something fun going on & the town has such a strong sense of community. I don't know if you are aware, but they also do a Pretzel Fest (usually in late April or early May). This year coming up it will be on May 6, 2023. Tickets go on sale in February. It's a great event also. Very similar to the chocolate walk, but with pretzel themed samples (over 20 stops). My family & I have done that one quite a few times too. It's definitely worth checking out. Take care & hope to talk to you again soon!! Maybe we'll cross paths in Lititz (or another part of Lancaster County) one day.😊

Well I have emotional attachment to Roots from the fam going there for generations AND there is a lot more at Roots. However, I think the amount of cultural food here is better as far as eating lunch so I would totally go here to sample lots of food! You should go with me someday!!

We parked a block away on the street - had to pay for it. There were several spaces open on most streets. There are parking garages and lots. Of course most are going to cost you. It is the downside of this market for sure ☺️. I added a link in the description of the video that will take your to their parking info 👍👍. I would definitely suggest going hungry bc there is so much yummy food!! Hope you get to go:)
