How is the floor constructed? Is the foam placed between the 2x4s and then a sheet of plywood is placed over the top, or can you just walk on the insulation? If the latter, how many pounds can that hold without becoming deformed? The plan is to use this as a meat locker and I would have a cart wheeled in that might have a 400lb side of beef on it, so what is the best construction for the floor? Thank you.

Hi Robert, thanks for reaching out. For the floor, we recommend building a level platform and placing rigid foam insulation over it. Cover the rigid foam with treated plywood to protect the rigid foam insulation and help distribute the weight you're rolling over it. Please reach out to our team at hello@storeitcold.com for support on building out your floor.

Hello great video I'm going to be building a 6'x6'x8' cooler what size of ac unit do I need to use.

Hello Johnnie, thanks for reaching out. For a 6' x 6' x 8' cooler to get to 38 degrees, you will need an 8K BTU A/C. This is assuming you have an airtight cooler insulated to at least R25 and less than six door openings an hour. I'm building an 8 by 10 out of a walk in cooler that is 4 inches thick. Can I use the 15000 btu lg I'm trying to stay with 110 voltage. And dry age my beef at 34 to 37 degrees.

Hi Jordan, thanks for reaching out. For a 8' x 10' to maintain temperatures as low as 34 degrees, we would recommend an 18K BTU A/C, which would not work with your requested 110V. A 15K BTU A/C will take an 8' x 10' down to 38 degrees. Do you have an option to build an 8' x 8'? The 15K BTU A/C would hold those your desired temperature.
