Walk of Life: Instructional Video

Short look at the January 2023 Austin Ukulele Society song, Dire Straits’ “Walk of Life.” It’s a breezy song with basically three chords, strummed with island strum except for one measure in the choruses. There’s a nice playable riff that you should look at, too.

Can you recommend a Ukulele for a first time newbie? I have always wanted to play and I am signing up for lessons! Need your opinion on a good starter Ukulele, please!

I would look at Kala or Ohana ukuleles. They both have reasonably priced ukes. I would say to look at around $100 for a starter Uke. For body size, I like a tenor Uke, but a concert size is also nice and is just a wee bit smaller.
