This was a spiritual encounter, two great cats sharing a stage. This will go down in the history of jazz as the impossible dream that Makhathini made possible.. I remember Azar Lawrence from way back from the collectors album, 'Bridge into the age' which I purchased for R1.99 from the Rasheed . I was hardly twenty years however I was ahead of my age. I am so delighted to hear these two cats exchanging ideas before the local audience ,enriching our scope of creative environment.

Just discovered your music within the last 2 weeks. Your style is reminiscent of the great McCoy, but you’re certainly distinct in the way you interpret classics while bringing ingenuity to your own originals. Looking forward to discovering all that you have to offer from the past and what you will bring to us in the future.

I just discovered you and your music today and I am ENTHRALLED!!! I'm a huge lover of spiritual jazz (John Coltrane, Alice Coltrane, Pharoah Sanders, McCoy Tyner, etc) and your music completely captures the beauty and power of that jazz tradition. I saw both Tyner and Sanders in concert, and I hope to see you one day. Much love and respect! And thank you.

It was a life time miracle to have Nduduzo and Azar together sharing stage and exchanging ideas. This is a life time occurrence that will go down the history of jazz for years to come. I R remember the first time I heard Azr Lawrence from the :The Bridge In To the New Age around the age of 17 . i bought the record from Rashid for R1,99 cent and that was the only Azar Lawrance material locally. The record cover did not have any liner notes only the tracks listing. Years latter I discovered that Jean Carne was the vocalist. I hope in years to come this session will be made availblle, this is actual a collectors item.
