Great videos!! I fitted all the Games Parks in Tanzania with HF-SSB Radios before cellular technology so people could communicate with their loved ones globally from the Game Parks. This was in 1977 -1982. I have been in each and every game park or reserve in Tanzania. I had to put antennas on Baobab trees depending on the direction, any which way but it worked and tested with Posts & Telecommunications perfectly. Took care of Police communications, Fire Brigade, Military, Aircraft and Maritime Navigational Systems. Well done Altaf & Wife. Long Live! Chakula pale, ile yenyewe 🙏👌

I am not from Tanzania, I was born in Uganda but I enjoy your clips because the East African vibe is the same. The old places, sights and sounds. East Africa has a very unique rich culture and history. Sasa, kababu na chatini elikuwa je. Used to have the coastal style kebabs with tangawizi chai at the Zanzibar restaurant in Dubai, wonderful!

@@AltafDaya I played in the band part time at Kunduchi, Bahari Beaches and many other hotels in Dar plus globally. I paid a lot for my Universities playing part time in the bands. But wasn't enough :) Mabungos with chilli powder and some salt. But we were careful not to have a cold.

Thx ALTAF. I will chat with Ali and get you some brownie points. But truly I thoroughly enjoy your Dar clips. I’m not sure yet where to stay as I’m tempted to get a hotel close to all these food places so we can walk back late at night. Looks like a Little India!!!

@@MilasNajar0786 I guess go for Saphire in town. Its central. Decent hotel. Otherwise walking anywhere else at night except town, is not advisable. I like Holiday Inn...its central too but again you can't walk at night - if you remember, its at the old Mawenzi Hotel site near the old Daily News site. Sleep Inn near Odeon (DTV Roundabout) Roundabout looks decent too

Hey... Answered in one of your other comments. City Centre and Upanga are the two areas I would look at. Depends if you have a car etc also. However, Upanga is not that far but not too convenient to walk into town. Taxi will not cost a lot. I like Upanga because it is more open and less commerical - mainly houses and food joints plus small shops etc. More of a peaceful area and good schools around incl play schools etc

Wow! Thanks, man! The areas around town Jamat Khana were my playgrounds! 1960's. Marbles, kites, cricket in lawani, gili-danda, . The hall opposite the main jamatkhana building had not been built, thus it was a big area to play. Is the Ismailia Flamingo guest house still there?

Thank you for posting this wonderful video. Wow! Morogoro has changed so much for me. I was born at (old?) Morogoro hospital in 1954 (is it still there?) and lived near Kingolwira prison farm from 1954 to 1963. My parents took me to Morogoro town for shopping and to the cinema (is it still there?) Morogoro was a much smaller town in those days with only a few shops and hardly any traffic at all. There used to be a club with a swimming pool at the back and a golf course near a sports arena, do you know if they still exist? Again, thank you so much for this video.
