Walk with me | Ep. 8 - Shimla, Himachal Pradesh | Snow Capped Mountains: Among In the Highest World

Sep, 2023: This video starts with a beautiful morning and a simple but beautiful dhaba breakfast to match. We take a nice short walk after the breakfast but we witness mind-blowing views on the way. The crisp, clear, blue skies and visibility in hundreds of kilometers allow to see snow-capped mountains situated in three different districts of Himachal Pradesh - Kulli, Lahual and Spiti, and Kinnaur - all while situated in another district of Shimla.
After satiating our eyes and soul with that stunning view of the 6000 meter plus peaks, higher than the highest peak in the entire western world of Africa, we continue our walk and get back to the quiet and peace of our hotel room. We spend some time relaxing in the pretty balcony of our hotel. We read a nice book about the history of Delhi and just after a couple of minutes of distraction find our book in the hands and mouth of a local macaque. This Himachal monkey tears right through my book. While the book stands significantly torn now it also stands significantly embedded with memories of this Himachal morning.
After relaxing at the hotel we step out again, now in the warmers and brighter Shimla afternoon. We walk over to The Mall and find a beautiful restaurant with a beautiful view and an outdoor seating on top of it too. We take in the moment and the beautiful views in the warm Shimla sun as we think about the stunning views in that moment as well as the ones witnessed earlier that day. The coffee and delicious mediterranean food is soon served, looking as pretty as it is delicious. After adoring the beauty of the food and that moment for a few minutes we dive in and end up having a memorable, delicious and immensely satisfying meal.
