Hi Wayne, what a beautiful area to settle down in. So clean and bright. I love all the shops, restaurants, and bars. So much to do around the lake.

It's a great place Lars, it's even more special with the high water. It really does feel more like the south. There will never be Memberships on here mate, NEVER! I wouldn't be able to sleep at night. All I need is my subs to watch and KZbin does the rest. I will never take from subs pockets. That's just how I'm made. I wouldn't rule out some side earners in the future but NEVER pay to watch. Cheers Lars.

Yeah bro I like Phayao too. That lake is awesome an really makes the place i reckon. The night time atmosphere there is perfect. Fair bit going on around the edge of the Lake there. Would be a good spot too find some nice food an just chill out by the lake man. Can't wait too see how the boat trip goes. Stay safe bro stay safe

Phayao has seaside town all over it. Closest thing to being on the coast in the North. I don’t know the name of the track now. I use something similar to Epidemic. Cheers 🍻

Only ever passed through there once on the way from Ciang Rai to Lampang. Only had a quick stop by the lane but after seeing this next time will definitely plan a couple of days there.

I go to Phayou regular just for short breaks, i always stay in the phuglong hotel, its not over expensive you can get rooms from 1200bt up to 3000 for a suite overlooking the lake plus they do a decent breakfast. There used to be a lot more night life and bars near the front but they have slowly been moved over the years further out. Its basicly a student town and theres still plenty of night life if you know were to look.

I rode my motorcycle yes. I went to some other places first, but direct from Chiang Mai it’s about 2 and a half hours.

Hi Wayne. Think I prefer Payao to Pai. Much more authentic with amazing views of the lake. The lakeside area could do with a real revamp with pavers rather than ugly concrete. Has huge potential with a bit of sprucing up. A loating market might make sense as well as artsy fartsy festivals. However you wouldn't want to flood the place with buseloads of tourist the way they do around temple in CMs old city. I'll be heading back to Danang after a five year break. That shows the real potential of places by the water. Hope the boat trip works out well. I guess it's cooler up there in summer?

Oh for sure mate, Phayao is loads better than Pai IMO. Crazy how Phayao gets over looked, but hope it stays that way. I hope they don’t do to much to it. Da Nang is nice mate, so much potential and is getting more and more visited.
