I moved from Shanghai to live in Kunming five years ago. Prices are relatively lower than first tier cities, people are nice and the climate is truly comfortable, no need to use air conditioning in summer.

Interesting point of view. Kunming make me felt more pressured than shanghai when I went. I heard that the Didi cost for few km trip is below 10 RMB, crazy cheap. One question: How do you handle the kunming Hua ? How do you handle the crowdedness ?

@@Moises12345-xhappy to answer your questions. Based on my personal experience, most people in Kunming can speak standard Mandarin, except for some elderly individuals. As for crowding, compared to Shanghai, I feel it’s not an issue at all.

@@krischeng9743 Ok nice ! I guess you can easily find quiet neighborhood. Yunnan is definitely the best province of China I've done so far (I've only visited 6 though). I love the yunnanese welcoming feeling they give, they're way nicer than shanghainese (not hard aha). I went many time to Yuxi, my wife is from there.

I've personnally had a bad experience with Kunming the few times I have been there. Too crowded and too much pressure, without mentionning the continuous traffic. However, this video make me discover some part of Kunming that I didn't visit,make me want to give the city another shot. Nevertheless, I think some other part of yunnan are more worth to visit, like Dali or Xishuangbanna.
