So, I've been asked about this a lot. There are clearly ways to make it work, as seen on BW and Lathrix's channels, but human-like motion is a bit trickier than I first thought lol

Yeah, I remember trying to set something like this up in Gmod (which is a lot easier), I highly suggest looking up gates/walk cycles with a tracer on the foot to learn how the foot needs to move. You end up with a bean shape most of the time, and you'll want to use multiple sine functions attached to timers with various offsets. There's a wikipedia for "Leg Mechanism" which should have lots of links to useful info. I know this probably isn't too helpful, but I do wish you the best of luck.

as long as there is at least one foot on the ground at any given time the clampy foot will do anything bellow miracle level to keep the walker stable if you have a good pid so runin moves like this would still require a helping hands from trusters to keep balance, but, if you do a reduced pace, like a jog pace, i bet is possible to be done without external help for pitch and roll balances

Yeah, I noticed. I overreached though and was quite stubborn about going with three joints and mimicking human movements (no bending the knee backwards). Yaw is a concern without support though. I'm gonna have to play with it more to see if I can get yaw to work reasonably well with just 2 legs.

Try making one with backwards knees like the mechs in movies/games That should let you walk upright with 3-joint legs in theory Not sure if those feet are big enough though

I don't think making them backwards will change much, but the main reason I struggled was my own stubbornness lol

Idk could probably make a composite foot to deal with size and yes the backwards knees are not very challenging
