Gary I used to make what we called Judy's Texas trash lol it is a couple potatoes quartered and cut in chunks brown those and add onions, squash and okra and fry until you like the roness sometimes I would add a zucchini. My kids loved it .

June 14th was my parents wedding anniversary--married in 1952 at the Baptist Student Center at Oklahoma A&M (now Oklahoma State University) in Stillwater, OK. My mom had completed her student teaching in Home Economics Education and taught for one year. My dad served in the Korean Conflict and then started college on the GI Bill. For several days before the wedding he went home to help his dad with the wheat harvest in western Oklahoma. He was a ginger when he was younger and had a very fair complexion. Soooo in their wedding pictures he has what we used to call a "farmer's tan"--his face and ears quite sunburned except for the white stripe which his broad-brimmed hat covered. Their "honeymoon" was at Fort Bliss, TX while my dad served his annual summer camp/reserves training. Thank you for sharing your family AND farm with us, Cassie and Gary!

You need freeze it spray for the gum. Works like a charm. Freezes the gum it just crumbles up in pieces when you scrap it up. Gums hard to get up. 😊

Ransom is a super helper. I could use a helper like him. Word for Bella/ Bell when you do not want her chasing something is her name then "Leave It" spoken in a harsh voice. "Leave it" works for a lot of things. "No Bark" is another command you could used just for barking. She is such a cute pup and well behaved too.

Our 1954 Nash, then 1962 Rambler had 2-55 air conditioners but they also had wing windows on the front doors that helped ldirect the breeze towards the occupants without blasting you out the window. Wish the modern cars had wing windows now. My first car was a 1970 AMC Hornet and it had an aftermarket air conditioner installed on the hump between the dash and front seat. I paid $500 for the car and sold that A/C for $250. Loved that deal!

Next year you need to get some goose neck gourds. The neck curls over. They are so cute to have the kids paint them after they dry out. Google Swan neck gourds. We first saw them when touring Pennsylvania in Amish country.

Ransom is Always Helping Dad, I LOVE THAT! ❤ I remember my Childhood NO A/C except 2 or 4 /20/ 40 /50 NO A/C in house NO FANS until I was a late teen. NEVER HOT Now I'd croak😅😢 Hay Bales were Also Square and up to a 100 lbs. We loaded and unloaded ALL by hand anywhere from 500 to 800 or more Bales Every Summer!! ❤ Little Bear poor Buddy IS Probably Teething..sending Prayers for Him and All there. Mayonnaise is what we always used to get gum out of hair and labels off jars. Try using mayonnaise to get gum off the metal surfaces.❤❤

220 air conditioners! That's so true. Remember the little triangle windows on the doors? Those were great because you could angle them to hit you with air, as well as having the main window down, usually. sometimes I don't use the house swamp cooler when I have to work in the heat a lot - so hard to get back to work when you come into the cool indoors!

Many years ago I bought and old antique school desk and the underneath surface was covered with very old gum. It was winter and I put it on the porch and let it get frozen. I was then able to just pop it off with a putty knife. I believe if you held ice against the bus gum it would be much easier.

Use some oil on the gum, it will come off much easier! Then use rubbing alcohol for any sticky left afterwards!

My car AC is not working so I have to 2-40 or 2-70 AC. In Michigan, our cars didn’t have AC nor did our houses. Most of their cars now have AC but many houses do not.

What I like to do with the squash, zucchini, eggplant, some mushrooms you sauté them in butter and salt them to taste. Oh, they are so good when they’re nice and tender.😂❤❤❤
