I just watched a show on that old log tram, not the steam engines. It was ran by steam off those two boilers near the end of the video and took logs between two lakes about a mile. Cool piece of engineering.

@LaBelle424242 The steam engines are cool but I was talking about the tram not the trains.

Sunset Bridge on the St. Juste Rd, St. John River. Several years ago the ice lifted the bridge off of the piers, but the bridge stayed in place. After that happened they raised the bridge and added the extra I-beams so heavier trucks could cross. Just before you reached the bridge, off to the right side of the road, are the remains of Moody Bridge. It crossed the St. John River a few miles north on the Realty Rd. Ice damaged that bridge several years ago and the landowner decided to remove the bridge instead of fixing it. It was dropped at this location with plans to use it to reinforce this bridge, but I guess they changed their minds and added the I-beams instead.

I you are amazed by this bridge, you need to travel further north to the Blanchet/Maibec Road that crosses the border at St. Pamphile. The bridge over the St. John River on that road is WAY longer and higher than this one.

This type of content fills a hole i feel when I think to much, just a feeling that I should've been born later than right know not 2004 but instead 2040, or just live long enough to be able to live hundreds of years into the future, I'm not afraid of death, but I would rather experience all that I can for aslong as I can on this mortal coil

The French speaking part of Canada is PRIMARILY in the Province of Quebec(Quebec City being the provincial capital), but the language can also be heard in the border areas between Ontario and Quebec, as well as the northern third of the Province of New Brunswick, which is right next door to the State of Maine. And in Quebec, Post, French is the First Language, while English is the Second Language. Just helping you out here. ;)

It's always so sad to me to see those old steam locomotives rotting in the unknown. What was once the pinnacle of technology and innovation is left forgotten to dissolve into nothingness. It's not like there's a "public railway" where collectors could keep them and use them though.😅

Unrelated to this particular video... but have you heard about Foster's Crossroads in Twin Mountain NH? Originally built as the Rosebrook Inn, built in 1890... soon to be demolished to build a Dunkin Donuts instead 😡 Figured you might be interested in trying to get some video footage of it before it goes away 😥
