I served my time as an apprentice stonemason at Bannocks of Birmingham 1562 Stratford road, from 1977 - 1980 watching this brought back happy carefree memories.

I lived around this area from 1961 to 1974; I migrated to Australia 40 years ago. Watching this was a trip down memory lane for me. The old buildings are the same, the shops have all changed. It seems very different but strangely familiar. Thanks for sharing. Really enjoyed it!

Hall Green is quite nice indeed, especially the southern area towards Shirley/Solihull but also some of the streets off Stratford Road... Nice that you finally made to film it 😊.

Thanks for watching. Yes, I did Shirley yesterday and it is indeed very nice. And the pavements are massive, therefore ideal for filming 🙂

The craziest thing about all of these videos is that i have lived in Birmingham all my life and i'm shocked how little i have paid attention to and how many things i have i have though all of these areas so many times.

Hey @Joseline I live in Greater London and am considering a move to the Suburbs of Birmingham. I was looking at Hall Green as an area and came across your video. Just wanted to thank you and give a shout out as was able to see the main Hall Green areas thanks to you. Anyone reading this- I would welcome your suggestions on which areas to buy. My budget is 300 ish k and Hall Green is where I am looking at currently..

All towns are generic nowadays, same shops, same cars, same everything. Whats the difference really.

Did you end up buying in Hall Green? I was born and raised in West London up until my mid twenties and moved to Wales about 10 years ago. Im looking to relocate again but I'm not to keen in moving back to London. I've been looking at Birmingham for a while now and Hall Green in particular hence how I stumbled across Joseline's amazing videos of Birmingham. House prices have seemed to have increased in the last 7 months.

@@mrhaf84 hi there. I am still waiting for my flat in London to sell and then I have the difficult decision to make.. my two options are east towards essex or B'ham (in which it will be Hall Green). I drove down a while back in the weekend and drove around Hall Green and took time to walk around a bit. I have been told Hall green south is the nice area. Also have noticed prices have gone up in the last year by a significant amount!!
@mrhaf842 жыл бұрын
@@anwarmiah6948 I know tell me about it....prices have gone up significantly everywhere. Iv just sold on my house over the asking price, which Im happy about but its also gone up in Birmingham too . Lots of buyers not many houses on the market. For me I need a bigger house and its unachievable in and around London with the budget I have. For now I get more for my money in Birmingham. I suspect prices in Birmingham will go up in next 5 to 10 years and it will be difficult for people to buy a decent house there in the near future.
@anwarmiah69482 жыл бұрын
@@mrhaf84 if uv sold up, buy in Bham or surrounding area asap!!! With people being allowed to work from home more and more, prices in other major cities will go up and by the looks of It Bham has taken a huge hike in the last couple of years alone!

Ahhh my old end :D there's a road that turns off the Stratford road called school road, so far up there there's a church which is built in the shape of a cross, you'll notice it better on Google maps aerial view, the church of ascension I think it's called, been around since the 1700s
@Talos2kX3 жыл бұрын
